Very friendly staff, good service, nice room. Food was great and draught beer was well kept. Good value and a tasty breakfast but only instant coffee is on offer. Will stay there again when back in the lakes.

Great room, good shower, really nice pub with a fire and good beer. Food was excellent-a good choice of specials and menu. There was a separate dining room as well as eating in the bar. Breakfast wash especially good.

We had spent a day out in the Lakes and were looking for somewhere to eat when we came across the Derby Arms by the A590. The staff were very friendly and quickly took our order. The meals were freshly cooked and of excellent value. This pub is well worth a visit if you are in the area and it... More

Stayed overnight on our journey from Scotland to Wales. The staff were very welcoming and reserved our own table for the afternoon and night. Our dog stayed with us throughout and many other patrons had their dogs too. Had a great evening meal and fantastic breakfast. The room was big and very comfortable. I Highly recommend this great place. John,... More

My room was comfortable and basic. Breakfast was disappointing. I had hoped for a lovely cooked breakfast but we got a very basic buffet style one instead which wasn't very appetising. Add to that the overly loud dance music being played it wasn't pleasant. The staff in the bar in the evening were great and very helpful. Although we didn't... More

We were staying near by and passed this pub to and from our accommodation. There is ample parking. It was a cold day and there was a lovely open fire in the lounge. Seating and tables are old and varied...interesting benches with cushions as well as bar stools. Dogs are welcome. The menu had just enough choice and the food... More
