Just back from another visit to the Lake District and Beech Hill House in particular. The customary warm welcome from Jenny and Stuart and even more so from the greyhounds. Our room was once again brilliantly presented and we were at home within 10 minutes of unpacking. Complimentary drink finished we were out and about down the lanes with Holly,... More

We stayed at Beech Hill House last Saturday and really enjoyed it. It is beautifully clean, the room was thoughtfully appointed and extremely comfortable with a splendid very modern bathroom too. There was an extensive choice for breakfast and the full English which we chose was well cooked and generous. Jenny was most welcoming and it was a real pleasure... More

Stayed two nights for a family wedding. Lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean, excellent, well prepared food, hot water, plenty of DVDs, books and games if weather is bad, lots of information available about the area although the taxi telephone numbers were out of date. Jenny and Stuart were very good hosts and were able to give information about the... More

Stayed for two nights and loved every minute of our stay. The room was spacious and very clean. The shower was powerful and the king size bed was very comfortable. Jenny was welcoming to both guests and dogs and Stuart cooked the best breakfast I have ever eaten. My wife and I will definitely be returning next year.

We stayed here for 6 nights during our stay in the Lake District and immediately confirmed all the previous good reviews we read. Jenny was very welcoming and showed us to our room. We had booked 2 rooms over the phone as we had a guest visiting us for a coupe of days, and both rooms were of very high... More

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for 4 nights with our dog Benji. We choose it because of the location and also because it was a dog friendly place. We were not disappointed, we stayed in room 1 because we liked the idea of the balcony for Benji, the room was clean and comfortable and we also had... More

We only spent one night at Beech Hill House after travelling up from Morecambe. We had room 1 and it was large and spacious with some very thoughtful touches such as the sherry and fridge and it felt like a home rather than a chain hotel place. Breakfast is fantastic and very very tasty with a good selection of food... More

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found our bed and breakfast ‘homely’, which is the way we like it to be, and hope we can have the pleasure of welcoming you both here again. There really was no need to feel stressed over the greyhounds we are fostering coming to see you on the balcony, they are... More
