Staying in the area for a race meeting at Cartmel, this is a good place to stay. Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed. Breakfast is great, choice is good and varied. Hosts Jenny and Stuart have thought of everything for a relaxing stay.

Have visited this place a few years ago and it hasn't lost any of it's charm. Rooms still clean and charming with lots of nice touches ( lovely fluffy towels). Jenny and Stuart looked after us, the hound and our friends really well. Was great weather and sat on the patio till late , then settled down to a peaceful... More

Firstly, I must make it very clear that my review is my own opinion, based on our first impression on arrival. Also, I would like to state that I did not spend 1 night here, due to the findings once we entered the property, and assessment of the noise levels, which are individual matters, and in this instance I felt there... This stay was for 2 couples who arrived in one car. Couple ‘A’ wanted to stay but were unable to because Couple ‘B’ didn’t, and they were driving, so this is a disagreement between 2 couples and we are ‘piggy in the middle’. A provisional reservation was made by Couple ‘A’ who sent Couple ‘B’ a link to our web... More

This b&b was of a very good standard, room was large with massive e suite and walk in wardrobe. Sleep quality was excellent. Breakfast of very high standard. Location is just of main road so bit of road noise, but I slept through it. The house is also a charity for rescued greyhounds so helps if you like dogs, the... More

It was actually June last year when we visited, we've been using this place for a number of years now. We usually have a stop over on our way to and from our holiday in Scotland, they are the most friendly people, with dog friendly accommodation. The local pub The Derby Arms, has an excellent menu, and wonderful beer. My... More
