We stayed for two nights in June. The hotel is located in the vineyard between Mad and Tokaj each about 20 min away. So a car is mandatory. On the approach we saw an impressive large white structure on a hill and wondered if this was the place. It was indeed and was even more impressive as we ascended the... More

We stayed at the Grof Degenfeld Castle Hotel on the recommendation of a friend and couldn't have been happier with the choice. Tucked away in the vineyards and off the beaten path, this was a little slice of wine-paradise meets royalty. The rooms are decorated In such a way that you truly feel that you are staying in a castle... More

Spend here one night on business trip. The hotel is made out of old winery school situated into beautiful garden, wine yards and in general into silent environment. Room are designed into old style, there are cleann, spacious and comfortable. Wireless connection avaible. Restaurant in on very high level with service minded staff. Accomodation process on reception was smooth. I... More

We spent 2 nights in the hotel in April and leave it with mixed feelings. First I would like to share the positives: The hotel and the park is really beautiful, you feel that you are in a different century. The room was spacious and tidy, every furniture and accessory is perfectly fit to the era. The staff and the... More

Degenfeld organized a 3-day program in the middle of October. It was called Terézia napok. We stayed in Tokaj and by being informed about this program registered ourselves for some of them. We were amazed by the care and friendly hospitality. The hotel picked us at the railway station before the program and lifted back when we wanted to leave... More

it is real good quality hotel, well designed and having own vineyard. Grof Degenfeld produce one of the best quality TOKAJ in the area. Hotel itself serves spacy rooms , very good wine and quality food at the restaurant. Parking place have enough space. Area is real nice for walk around or to spend family weekend. Bathrooms are spacy enough... More

We spent 1 day in the Tokaj region for a break from the cities. We arranged the hotel to pick us up from the Tokaj train station and they were there waiting for us (for which you are charged 5000 huf for round trip) Everyone was very friendly and the hotel grounds were beautiful. We did one wine tour in... More

We've stayed in this small (21 rooms) hotel several times now. The hotel is immaculately clean, the grounds are groomed among the hillside vineyards that surround the property, the rooms are quite, comfortable and the staff is only there to please. While we did not tour the on-site winery this trip, we did sample some of the under-appreciated Tokaji wine... More

I was a bit worried this place would be a bit stodgy( judging by some of the pictures I saw ) but my fears were unjustified. From the moment we checked in ( and were offered a couple of glasses of their very good Muscadet fresh from the ice bucket) we could not have been happier. The staff are attractive and... More

This could be an excellent hotel but a number of things are just not good enough and our visit was a bit disappointing. We had the suite and had afternoon tea one day and a glass of wine before dinner in the room..we came back after dinner and no one had bothered to collect the tea stuff or the wine... More
