So many pubs and hotels seem to have forgotten they are in the hospitality industry, fortunately not at The Tower Bank Arms. And not only do they show the rest how to do proper UK hospitality, the beers are beautifully kept and served, and the food absolutely bob on too. I could go on, but I hope you get my... More

We were advised to book as they get really busy so we booked a table for us and our two children for 6.30. When we arrived it was quite busy in the bar area and we were told our table wasn't ready yet so we had a drink sitting by the very old range which was lit so it was... More

Booked as a surprise weekend away for my birthday. Gorgeous quaint room, comfy bed and lovely views. Food (both breakfast and evening meals )and beer were amazing. Can highly recommend the asparagus in tempura batter and pigeon as starters!!! Such a lovely warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble! Can't wait to go back again

Have stayed here now & visited for food & beer on numerous occasions, just thought we would add a review. The pub is actually owned by the national trust, the food is top quality as are the beers & this is all a credit to the landlord & his guard working staff. The evening stew & the morning breakfast are... More

Just returned from our 5th stay here. Love it. Nice touch in the rooms with an OS map you can use and a booklet showing all the locations shown in the Beatrix Potter books. Beds are so comfy - so comfy we asked Anthony to give us the make! Anthony is so helpful he recommended walks and places to visit.... More

Good hearty home cooked food, with lovely crunchy vegetables. Great "proper" pub in lovely setting. Nice garden, traditional interior. Food obviously cooked to order but arrived in 25 minutes. Great experience.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights with high expectation from the beautiful view and environment of the village. After a pleasant walk we went down to eat dinner but we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and we could not eat there. Then the lady at the restaurant told us to go to the next village... I think I had a sandwich here a few years ago which was nice but the other day me and my boyfriend stopped in for supper towards the end of our hike, to fuel up for the walk back to the car-ferry and on to Bowness, and it was perfect. I had the beef and ale stew and it was... More

We popped into this pub for a quick drink. The pub is gorgeous just what you would expect from a Lake District pub. The food which passed us looked devious so we will definatley be coming back to visit. The staff here are all very friendly and welcomed you into the pub. We wanted to stay longer. Lovely pub in... Popped in for lunch whilst waiting for our time slot to go to Hill Top House. We were given a warm ,friendly welcome & the owner was very amusing with the children. Food was excellent & with good sized portions. Will have to return again & hopefully stay.
