In the reality that is Haiti today, this hotel offered a very pleasant experience, and I found it to be very enjoyable indeed. I was in Haiti on business and the hotel was well suited for this, as the conference facilities are more than adequate. Overall, the service was quite good. The staff was helpful and pleasant, and my room... More

I had an amazing stay at Karibe. I have stayed in several hotels in Haiti and this is now one of my fave. The rooms are nice. The staff is very kind at the front desk. The Bartenders a little laxydazical and hard to get their attention but pleasant. Pool service is great. The pool not as clean and clear... More

It's a great place to stay in Port-au-Prince; clean, trendy, with a great staff and good food. It was part of my Air Transat duo package and my only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer. Same standards as Canada or the US, bonus is the amazing temperature, palm trees and the view (a room with view on... More

Karibe is a modern and well-equipped hotel with green, spacious grounds and decent food on-site, surrounded by the most desperate poverty and population density in the western hemisphere. It's not 5-start, mind you, but it does a decent job of keeping you safe and comfortable which is hard to do anywhere else in Port-au-Prince. They claim to have their own... More

An exuberant setting, very fresh, very lush. The service is good, but not great. The food is of very good quality and the selections are great, but be patient because is not fast. Breakfast has a good selection and everything seems to be prepared on site and fresh.

Large hotel on a park-like setting on the hills not far from downtown. You feel absolutely safe in this compound, an important factor in Haiti, and can spend pleasant time at the pool side or in the park. Has a convenient free shuttle to the airport. The hotel personnel was very kind and helpful. The room was clean but not... More

Can't say that I have been more than two other hotels in Port Au Prince, but this is where I have been staying for the past 2+ years constantly. The rooms are clean, air conditioning always works, close to the city, friendly staff, free wifi, gym, pool, spa; it's all there. My only issue really is the dinner menu. After... More

I have been to the karibe in many occasions for work. The hotel is nicely located. They really embrace nature. The rooms are spacious. They have great amenities. The staff of the Karibe is particularly friendly and nice. They have the best customer service in Haiti. The only issues that I have with the Karibe hotel is the price which... More

I am an international traveler who has been to plenty of Third world countries/cities and must say that my first visit to Port Au Prince was a real experience,lol...I selected this hotel because it was on the mountain and therefore, away from the mad crowds of the city. The hotel was above average for the location and I enjoyed both the... More

I wish there were a 3.5 rating. The hotel actually is a nice green and peaceful (other than the annoying background music) haven from the noise and crowds of Port-au-Prince. The grounds are particularly nice, spacious, with mature trees, and an attractive pool. The rooms are quite acceptable as well - though the bathrooms could use a bit of an... More
