We booked this guest house based on Trip Advisor reviews and it wasn’t until we got directions for it that we found it was not in, or anywhere near, Lahemaa. It is on the very edge of Matsalu National Park, famous for migratory birds and I can imagine this place is wonderful in the spring, but not the national park... More

Beautiful location , at the border of National Park .In June, in front of the hotel , two corncrakea were displaying and in the back a concert of thrush nightingales. Good rooms, friendly people and a goog restaurant. It is a right place for birdwatching .From the road departures an intestesting path with a lot of specialties To recommend to... More

I've been there for a couple of nights in the beginning of May 2013. The place is a big green house that look like brand new (but it's an old house recently refurbished). Rooms are spacious and very, very comfortable and clean (my favourite place in Estonia). Very conveniently located for a visit in the beautiful surroundings. People are nice... More

In August 2012 we hired Altmõisa for four days, for a family get together (21 people). It’s a well built, modern building yet with plenty of traditional charm and atmosphere. The bedrooms are comfortable, clean, airy and each one is beautifully and uniquely decorated. There is a large space on the second floor which would be ideal for seminars and... More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway with our toddler recently and had a very nice time. I would for sure recommend booking a suite if it's available as the suite prices are still very reasonable-unfortunately we booked fairly last minute and there were none left. Double room was adequate, but with our toddler it would have... More

My husband and I stayed two nights at Altmoisa in the cream Rose Suite. It was so peaceful and quite! They prepare your food according to your requests and it is generous and beautifully served. Breakfast is included in your room rate and is high quality (oatmeal with dried fruits and nuts, eggs, bacon/sausage, cold meats and cheeses, homemade bread... More

We recently travelled to Estonia for a week and planned to stay in Altmoisa for 2 nights then the remainder of the time in Tallinn but after returning to Tallinn and doing all the touristy things we decided that we would be mad to spend the rest of our time in the city and got the bus straight back to... We enjoyed our stay here. The first night, we had the beautiful and spacious suite. The next two nights, we stayed in a much smaller (and significantly less expensive) double room. It was fine, but very basic compared to the suite. If you want a queen-sized bed, be sure to request one since some of the beds are true double... More

Four of us travelled to Estonia on a birdwatching trip. Altmoisa is a brilliant base. The house is beautiful, very comfortable, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. We took the B. B & EM option. Veggie food is good. Alcohol is available, just take it from the fridge, sign for it and settle up later. All... More

We stayed at the Altmoisa Guest House for one night. It is close to Haapsalu (we didn't find any decent hotels there) and a perfect stay when planning on visiting Saarema or the Lahema National Park. The house is set on an open plain, no trees around but very charming. The roof is thatched with straw, it looks great. We... More
