This Hotel has the advantage of being in a breathtakingly beautiful place and is elegant and in keeping with its historic surroundings. The rooms are simple and furnished with antiques, the art on the walls is eclectic and beautiful, the food is incredible and the service is friendly, helpful and efficient. We loved it and felt like we were on... More

We went to Les Hospitaliers over twenty years ago and always wanted to go back.We booked a week in the house owned by the hotel which allowed us the freedom to relax in a private house yet have the benefit of the hotel restaurant nearby and use of the pool.On arrival we were told that the hotel had been sold... What a beautiful setting for this hotel! The views were stunning and breakfast and dinner delicious. The room was large, nicely renovated and clean, yet but a bit dated... and we would have loved a shower holder and a shower curtain in the bathroom... But that's a detail - it was a truly memorable experience, mainly thanks to the friendly... More

This hotel is absolutely stunning being part of the abandoned medieval village, from the balcony the views are stunning. The hotel is very well run by the owner who is exceedingly charming. The restaurant is excellent, quality of food is of the highest standard, well presented. Excellent choice of wines. Dinner is served on the terrace in the summer, whilst... More

Les Hospitaliers is in a unique village in the Drome. The location is spectacular. A village perchee it is in reality the remains of the Hospitaliers Castle and its apendages. The village as a result is 'dead'. Just the hotel and some holiday homes. Little or no sign of life. The views are remarkable. The hotel itself is of the highest... More

We stayed only for one night but enjoyed every minute. Swimming in the pool which was in front of our room was great. The dinner was perfect and so was the service. The staff was helpful. If you visit this part of France this is the place to stay.

We stayed here one night as a stop over on our way south. Le Poet-Laval is beautiful medieval town and the hotel is smack dab in the center of it. The parking is conveniently located just in front (rarely the case in hotels of this type). We appreciated that we didn't have to lug our bags up stairs (we had... More

We spent one night here last week and enjoyed it very much. Stunning location, good service (slight issue with billing re dinner but was sorted immediately) food is very good. Pool and location one of the best. Food in restaurant was very good and fair value.

This hotel is perched in the old village of Poet-Laval. The room we stayed in was one of the cheapest so was quite small. However it was perfectly adequate and had a good bathroom and separate loo. There is an excellent swimming pool but if you are not a confident swimmer the shallow end is quite deep. We had a... More
