The tallest point on the island offers amazing views, the MOST delicious restaurant steps from Donna's House, and castle ruins and a gorgeous hotel on top of the hills. Mario owns Donna's with his sister, but he runs the place marvelously. Giant breakfast, colorful rooms, 2 wonderful outdoor cafes down the road. Black beaches a taxi ride away. We LOVED... More

Great and affordable place to stay away from the crowds and tourists. We arrived after midnight because our ferry was late, and Mario stayed up and waited for us until we got there. Thanks Mario! Beds are a little hard but still comfortable. Rooms are clean and the air conditioner works well. Only Con is that the shower is very... More

We booked the family room for a family of 4 and got a great rate (120 Euro/night). My wife was a bit concerned that we weren't staying on the beach or in a hotel with a caldera view. We were SO pleasantly surprised by the town of Pyrgos and this wonderful hotel. After visiting Fira, Oia, and driving by just... More

Stayed there 3 nights. Mario was great. Perfect location for walking the whole village. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean. Breakfasts were very good. We can recommend with no reservations. If we were going again, we would stay here again.

After staying in Fira, Donna's House and Pyrgos were truly a refreshing change--unique and highly characteristic inn and much quieter town. Mario and his sister run Donna's House and it's beautifully maintained with a lovely court yard for sitting and eating. The structure is gorgeous with lots of marble including floor to ceiling marble bathroom. For an additional 5 euro,... More

Carrying on the 100% theme, Donna’s House is what it says on the tin. We were greeted and looked after by the wonderful Mario who works 24/7 but always with a smile and a giggle. The superior room with the double bed had a perfectly okay shower and plenty of light with dual aspect views of Pyrgos and Santorini below.... More

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Our first floor room was of a good size, clean, tastefully decorated and furnished. Situated in the centre of the island and near Pyrgos village square but away from roads the tranquil garden provided the perfect place to start the day with breakfast, which were large and delicious, or return to and relax... Positioned in the centre of the island Donnas House is in the perfect position to visit the whole area . A car is essential to visit all corners of this varied island. Coming home to this beautifully kept retreat was paradise from the hustle & bustle of this sometimes crazy place, perfectly kept rooms beautiful secluded gardens & very helpful... More

We were a party of two couples travelling independently through the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands and spent a couple of nights at Donna’s House. Donna left some years ago and the Pension is now owned by a local called Manolis Fytros. As I understood it, his wife, Cvetelina manages the B&B with her brother. We had hoped to stay a... More

Pyrgos itself has an "old school" feel of being away from it all that you just dont get in the popular Perissa/thira/oia resorts. There is an hourly bus, no street names and everything is either up steps or down slopes. We loved it. The management at Donna's were really helpful, providing a map to/from the guest house as well as... More
