On the plus side, situated in beautiful countryside, accommodation is good and the pools are nice. On the minus side and there are more of these, our self catering appartment - this is not a hotel in my book - was 1.6 km up a steep dirt track in the hills (seriously damaged by recent thunderstorms so that only a... This was our third stay at Fonte de Medici in the past eight years, and we still love it. This time we stayed in the Barbera apartment (Malvasia each time before), where despite some air conditioning problems (which the staff tried very hard to fix), we had a wonderful and relaxing time. The apartment is large, comfortable and well equipped.... More

Whatever Fonte de Medici has going for it (and there are good things about this establishment), is significantly undone by its rude, incompetent manager and one or two poorly trained staff. The problem started with the mountain bikes they advertise are available. When I asked to use them, I was guided to a basement area, where indeed there were approximately... More

We stayed here for three nights. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They helped us find places to eat and visit in the area. The rooms were large and very clean. Scenery was all you could want, especially at sunset.

The Fonte de Medici is a lovely place. They have beautiful scenery and beautiful rooms, but the restaurant was not exemplary. It's good enough for breakfast and a quick lunch, but try to go somewhere else for dinner. Also, make sure you have a car, as there isn't really much to do at the hotel except sleep or lounge around... More

Our story really starts in August 2007. We visited Tuscany to not only have a wonderful holiday but also to select a venue for our wedding the following year. We visited many properties in the region from castles to hotels (none quite what we were looking for – we wanted all our guests to be together - but not on... More

Perfect location. Spent there a week with my girlfriend and was outstanding. Within a few miles you can go to some of the best restaurants in Chianti and enjoy the unique experience of a tour of the Badia a Passignano cellars.

Fonte de Medici is an agriturismo that is part of the Antinori Family estate. The hotel itself is not priced like your agriturismo, and for good reason. Our room was quite large with a full shower and a mini-kitchen. Two bottles of wine were included, along with a nice breakfast, and you get exclusive access to a Tignanello cellars tour... More

We selected this hotel per reviews on Trip Advisor, and were very happy with the accommodations. We stayed in the Vermentino room, which is a big-size apt. and quite spacious (see their website for pictures of room/hotel). It had a small kitchen with fridge and small living room. Definitely a bargain! The room was very clean and comfy. The breakfast... More

My wife and I were here in 2005 for on a wine and food trip through Tuscany. On that trip, we booked the apartment Dolcetto. I can highly recommend it! However, if you are dependent on things like room service, turn down and big fluffy towels replaced after each use, maybe not. Please don't misunderstand; this is a very nice... More
