During a weeklong trip to Sicily, this afforded a two day respite in a green oasis. The grounds are lovely, with different courtyards (and grapes on the vine over the arches!) and an open garden and pool area. The host tour included the on-site necropolis found during renovation and the wine cellar with a wine tasting/food pairing. Many in our... More

Stephanie D's description (see review below) describes the hotel facilities well. It was the most expensive of our 3 different accommodations in Sicily, its more quirky then a branded 5 star chain, but it is lovely and has lots of character. We stayed 4 nights and would come again but perhaps next time in Spring when the countryside is not so... More

I had lunch here on a short trip in June and made a decision then to come back and stay in the hotel as I fell in love with the place. I stayed 2 nights with a friend in Aug 2014 and we ate dinner in the hotel both nights. The chef Giorgio is beyond amazing. The food is excellent.... More

This hotel certainly deserves it’s 5 star rating. If you want finer details, then read on, if not expect a very splendid hotel on arrival….. The hotel is truly amazing – nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Honestly the hotel is exceptional! Special thanks to Lorenzo and Margherita who helped us out with travel plans and restaurant recommendations.... More

I stayed here with a friend for a week from 20 July 2014. It is a beautiful hotel, perfectly situated with easy access to both Ragusa and Marina di Ragusa and a host of other lovely small towns (especially Scicli, the nicest of them all). The grounds are quite extensive and reflect the local countryside and poolside is a relaxing... More

A lovely hotel located in the country side. The staff was exceptional and the grounds and pool area were beautiful We stayed in a room in a small alcove off the outside dining area. Quiet and comfortable. Our friends stayed in a second floor room. We had dinner our first night at the hotel. Most of us enjoyed our food,... More

This place is just enchanting! The guidebook said that you would never imagine what was within the solid plain stone walls that surround the estate, and that was an understatement! It is an elegant and historic structure, while being warm and relaxing at the same time. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and the dining room and sitting areas are stately... More

This historic hotel has been the second of three on our family holiday in Sicily. It's location is ideal for exploring the many historic towns and cities of Southern Sicily. The hotel is peaceful and relaxing, enjoyed by all members of the family. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The staff were friendly and always helpful. All meals were... More

Theirs premises are outstanding, and the staff by far are the most warm and professional than you can expect. We had a wonderful experience in our stay of 2 days. But i could tell you that we could use in room number 3, wider single beds. Maybe this room will be perfect for one person. Kind of monastic size, if... More

A lovely stay in a lovely full of character hotel. From the excellent and friendly service to the seriously fabulous food from a top class chef, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Even our 8 month old enjoyed the imaginative towel origami which appeared in his cot every day - magic! Ignore any reviews which say otherwise - this is a... More
