It was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, however the food was nice but average and as a vegetarian and fussy eater there wasn't much choice. My mum ordered the Garlic Mushrooms with Garlic ciabatta bread and the mushrooms were not cooked and the Garlic Sauce didn't even have any garlic in so it was basically cream with herbs. My Stepdad and... More

Called in on a Monday night about 6.15 on our way home from a day out with two friends. Just in time for the £6.95 early bird special. Two of us had the gammon, and another had the steak from the early bird menu. The gammon came with both pineapple and egg, and the portion was huge. The other person... More

We have driven past The Crown many times, but today we were hungry and popped in to give it a try. The meal was absolutely fantastic. Thank you to The Crown for a stunning meal. A beautifully cooked lamb dinner with fresh vegetables...washed down with a chilled bottle of Yellow Tails! The pub caters well for children offering coloring pictures and pencils and my little boy was offered a complimentary packet of sweets from the managers! the pub is a quaint village pub with the original... On our way home to The Lakes after a weekend nr Barmouth. A lovely welcome by the landlady and her staff. Nice, cosy , non fussy interior. The roast dinner was exceptional, beef for my our daughter and I, chicken for my husband... veggies cooked to perfection, with melt in the mouth meat. Very good value, would certainly recommend.
