Recently did a two night stay at this hotel and had a really lovely time. It is an old country house set in the countryside with great views of the hills. A little difficult to find but ideally located for visiting Chester, Llangollen and Ruthin. We used the opportunity to visit a couple of nearby National Trust properties. The bar... More

We used an Amazon voucher to take a 2 night break at this lovely hotel and stayed in the Lloyd suite which was beautiful with a large double bed and a sofa in the room as well as a small dressing area that contained a single bed. As the manager said, it would be useful if we had a row!!... More

Just returned from our two night stay using Amazon voucher we had for Christmas! We stayed in the Tanglwst room which may have been a "bit tired" especially the bathroom but the room was very clean and the bed and duvet were most comfortable! The three steps in the room took some getting used to, in fact my husband fell... More

We got an excellent deal for dinner, bed and breakfast to celebrate our Anniversary. We were a little concerned by the recent bad reviews - but for no reason. If you want a hotel with quirky character in peaceful countryside - this is the place - from the Duelling (main) Staircase with treads at differing heights & widths and sloping... More

despite plenty of staff, they behave like headless chickens and totally clueless. witnessed visitors being told do not have a list of room rates who walked away shaking their heads. slow service and waiter forgot to bring veg (had to go to kitchen myself to ask for them). food mixed pate portion very large (8oz) and 4 tiny pieces of... Firstly, I didn't stay there, my parents did (May 2014), but that's beside this point - please read on. December of last year, I'd bought my parents a two night stay at the Bodidris, using an Amazon Local voucher. Expecting that this would merely provide basic accommodation, I then contacted the hotel and spoke with a Gari. He assured me... More

We booked to stay at the self catering cottages, we paid in advance. Then at 9.30 pm the night before are arrival at the Bodidris we received a telephone call from the Manager to say that we will not be able to cook in the cottage because they had not been fitted out with the facilities for self catering. When... More

Visited on Monday evening having booked with a Groupon voucher. Lovely place, dodging the pot holes on the drive to it just adds to the charm! Odd selection of starters, soup, chicken thigh or quiche. Pea seems to be the flavour of the month for soup but my partner doesn't like pea so had the chicken thigh, I had the... More

Driving down a narrow country lane this lovely old house appears. Inside again very old with lots of interesting beams, wonky floors etc. We had a Groupon Sunday lunch voucher. Front of house manager very chatty & told us about the history of the building. Friendly but untrained staff. Enjoyed a drink in the lounge & made our choice from... More
