This is the review for the restaurant only. We had dinner here on a Tuesday night. The staff settled us in the comfortable lounge area where we selected from the menu. The menu selection was limited but sufficient. We were called into the restaurant where dinner was served up very formally. However, the quality of the main courses - lamb... More

If I had paid full price for this one night stay with dinner I would have been livid. On approaching the Hall it's a beautiful setting which can't be denied, however on entering it becomes obvious that it's not very well maintained which is a shame as it has great potential. We were shown to what has been voted the... More

My wife and I had a lovely 3 course Sunday lunch here. The food was sublime, very high quality ingredients and the best fresh veg I've ever tasted in a restaurant. The highlight of our visit however, was the superb service we received from all of the staff. We will be back! Very highly recommended.

Recently did a two night stay at this hotel and had a really lovely time. It is an old country house set in the countryside with great views of the hills. A little difficult to find but ideally located for visiting Chester, Llangollen and Ruthin. We used the opportunity to visit a couple of nearby National Trust properties. The bar... More

We used an Amazon voucher to take a 2 night break at this lovely hotel and stayed in the Lloyd suite which was beautiful with a large double bed and a sofa in the room as well as a small dressing area that contained a single bed. As the manager said, it would be useful if we had a row!!... More

Just returned from our two night stay using Amazon voucher we had for Christmas! We stayed in the Tanglwst room which may have been a "bit tired" especially the bathroom but the room was very clean and the bed and duvet were most comfortable! The three steps in the room took some getting used to, in fact my husband fell... More
