This is such a lovely house - if its cold you have a roaring log fire which gives the place a lovely feel .We have only ever been in what I would say are the quieter periods ie: March or Sept so don't know how busy it gets in other months - I say this because I think the seating... More

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting a local company. Unfortunately we were too late for dinner, which we've heard is good, but we had some wine and cheese and biscuits. The bar area has an incredible open fire, very nice to sit by and down a drink or two. Lovely big bedroom, not the plushest I've known but... More

Loved the reception, friendly barmaid, a nice warm fire and friendly locals whose greeting was a bonus. Good food. Reason for the 3 star rating was the fact that we felt hurried with the dessert menu and there was some sarcasm when we queried which deserts we could choose from, felt uncomfortable at that stage.

I stayed here in mid December as I had to attend a conference there the following day. It only cost my company £60 for bnb! However when I got there the very helpful receptionist offered to upgrade me free as they were doing some work on a room nearby and it maybe noisy! They moved me to an executive suite... More

What can I say about this hotel......I travel around Wales quite a lot but if im in the area this is my 'go to' hotel. The staff make this hotel what it is. Friendly, professional and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Yes some of the rooms need to be updated but the owners are working on... More

This review may be at odds with those glowing reviews from others. I an only comment on my own experience. Having stayed at the hotel many years ago, my wife and I arrived on a very wet November evening to look forward to an enjoyable stay. Our initial impression was disappointing. There was no friendly greeting from the reception and... More

The Maesmawr Hall is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The rooms are large and well equipped with all the usual comforts to make it home from home. The evening meal menu had a great choice using local products and Joshua the chef takes pride in producing fantastic food. The lamb was amazing!! The staff were extremely polite and... More

Firstly I can not speak highly enough of the owners John and Nigel. They took care of us so well along with their staff to make us feel welcome and relaxed. We sat for hours enjoying the open fire while chatting and having a delicious sandwich. In the evening we had a private dining room where we were waited on... More
