Stayed here on Sunday 20th July en route to Fishguard. We stay in Caersws every year but our usual farmhouse accommodation was full so we booked a room at the Buck. The room was very spacious, in fact a family room and very well appointed, nice decor and large TV. The accommodation is not directly over the main public rooms... More

We stayed here for a friends wedding. Room was lovely and comfy and area beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic and bar downstairs very useful. They don't do evening meals so we ate 100 yards away at the Red Lion. Rob is very helpful as were all the staff and we would like to thank them for a lovely stay.

A group of friends and I spent two nights here in July, attending a wedding in the next town. We booked (and were given!) a family room and a double room. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. For me the best thing was the friendliness of the staff, by which I mean one particular staff member who I... More

Had another family Sunday lunch for 6 of us. Great choice, great food, thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't have any room for the desserts unfortunately, but they looked lovely and were very tempting. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Called in Friday evening for a Bar meal. Could choose from Specials or the main restaurant menu.Decided to go for straightforward fish and chips and Gammon and chips. Beautifully cooked and brought to us in the bar by a very pleasant young lady. Choice of local beers, good atmosphere. Value for money price. Again would very much like to recommend... More

We went to the Buck Hotel for Sunday lunch during our weekend away in Powys following reviews here. First impressions of the pub worried us a little while we were waiting in the bar but when we went into the restaurant we could see the pub had been done up. The restaurant was very busy and service was excellent and... More
