I planned a walking weekend with my dogs along the wonderful Moray coastline. The Bayview Hotel was a perfect base. Sitting above the harbour this hotel offers great views across to Portknockie along Cullen beach. On arrival the proprietor offered a warm and very informative welcome and willingly let me borrow some very useful walking guides. Room 4 was perfect... More

Jet-lagged and very tired, we stumbled upon The Bayview Hotel after failing to find accommodation in near-by Portsoy. Our 'fairy godmother' must have had her eye on us however because this lovely little hotel turned out to be a real gem - a fantastic old-fashioned 'guest house' in a lovely location complete with a warm welcome and wonderful old-fashioned service... We stayed at this lovely little hotel for almost a week. The owner, from Denmark, was lovely and the service was impeccable. Bayview hotel lies at the hill above the small harbour of Cullen with a magnificent view of the Cullen bay and the beach course. This is THE perfect spot to stay at if you are in Speyside to... More

We stayed here 2 nights and found it really nice .It is more like a guest house than hotel but it suited us as we prefer smaller places .The owner Anna from Denmark was most helpful and I think had more knowledge about the area than the locals .breakfasts were good and anything that wasn't on the table I am... Stayed 4 nights in Sept 13. More a guest house than a hotel. The proprietor Anna from Denmark could not do enough for us. Room adequate with 3 windows over looking the harbour, could not have asked for a better view. Breakfast was great, anything you wanted she would go out of her way to provide, yes even haggis that... Stayed one night in September 2013,found the the owner to be absolutely lovely and a fountain of knowledge for the local area. The Hotel is small but this is what I like as I feel you still have the personal touch.Had a room on the second the floor which looked onto a well presented garden. The room was spotless and there... Quiet, clean, stunning views, nice little bar, and lots of books and information about the area. The owner is wealth of knowledge and really friendly. For the price in this area... can't fault it. The one thing I would say is that the decor is a little mixed up, but like I say it's spotlessly clean it's just that the... More

Stayed one night. Was greeted on arrival and made to feel very welcome. The furniture is dated but rooms were very clean and had all the amenities needed. We had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning which was served buffet style. The owner was very friendly and we had a nice chat with her during breakfast.
