Spent two nights mid week dinner bed and breakfast at the hotel. WE were given a reasonabley sizedroom with a lovely well furnished 4 poster bed, large flat screen tv. The leisure facilites are excellent - a 25 metre pool, sauna steam room and a large jacuzzi and a new well equiped gym. The package incuded dinner and we had... more

We booked a last minute deal, by phone, with the hotel and got a good rate of £50 DB&B per person per night. Having stayed at the hotel a couple of years ago we knew what to expect (peculiar outside appearance and internal layout). Nothing has changed, which is another way of saying that the rooms are a bit tired... more

Quite old fashioned style hotel - think heavy dark furniture and patterned furnishings. We chose this hotel as it was handy to Glasgow and M8 (with a car about 25 mins) and had a pool. They seemed to have plenty of facilities for smaller children and the pool was excellent, but if you're looking for bright, airy and modern this... more

Just got back from the Bowfield, we went there as guests and left feeling like friends. On arrival my first thoughts were OMG it looks a mess on the outside, however, once inside we got a freindly reception, our room was big and very clean, the hotel has the best pool and spa. Highlight of our stay was the food.... more

The first night we were there we were given a ground floor family room and got no sleep due to the people in the room above thumping around all night long. Not only did their floor (our ceiling) creak, but they seemed to be endlessly pacing the floor with no end in sight, even during the middle of the night... more

The room was spotless and vey comfortable with a lovely view of the countryside. The best pillows of any hotel I have stayed in.Lovely clean... more

Booked through Late rooms, so got a fab deal. The hotel is clean and nice. A lot more character than any Hilton. The rooms were small but clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Couldn`t do enough to assist. Amazing food! Last time I had food of this standard was 5* and never expected it to be... more

We stayed one night in this hotel as a break from the kids (!) and found it to be just what we needed. The room we had was very clean and well presented with a very comfortable bed. It didn't have a great view (of the swimming pool) but the very pleasant countryside beyond was visible. The leisure facilities are... more
