The hotel is an old building, but it is comfortable and homely with a real fire in the lounge. The bedroom was large enough for us, the bed was comfortable and the pillows firm, the way we like them. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff were very young but knew what they were doing, and they were all lovely,... More

The hotel is fine, clean and has good service. The hallway to the rooms has an awful design, but the rooms are cosy and you can tell they've been refubrished so I hope they do the same with the hallway. The shower door did not work properly and it was a nuisance, but not so much as we only stayed... More

We bought this as a package from Amazon Local because it looked like a bargain. Two nights bed and breakfast with afternoon tea on arrival. I looked at the hotel using Google street view and was a little apprehensive because it appeared to be a little rundown. However we went ahead, and we were very pleased we did. The hotel... More

My boyfriend and I went to Killearn a wee while ago and really enjoyed out time there. We stayed in the Killearn hotel and loved it!! The room was a wee bit snug but that wasn't much of a problem as we spent quite a lot of time out and about sight-seeing. The food was amazing! We ate in the... More

A group of 8 went for a meal, judge for yourself. Two of us had scallops for starter, they were over cooked. My friend ordered medium rare steak (err on the rare side please). The steak came and was brown all the way through, so she sent it back to the kitchen. Five minutes later the waitress came back and... More

Firstly let me start by saying that people like you appal me and you should not be allowed to comment on trip advisor. You are a liar and not only do I have photographic evidence of the steak you said was not medium rare on the rare side, I also was told by guests about your friends treatment of my... More

As I said in the title. The food I had was well above average in quality of ingredients and flavour. The staff are trained to understand the meaning of service and hospitality. The fire side lounge area was a wonderful place to relax, drink and chat. Excellent hotel to choose if you plan to visit the Aberfoyle area and nearby... More

We had a wonderful nights stay here in September. Staff were superb and food amazing. Room clean and comfortable. A wee bit of upgrading needed but talking to the manager this is in the future plans. Would stay again.
