Stayed here on business and was not impressed with much of anything here. The grounds were lovely but the hotel/house itself is quite dated and need of cleaning the carpets and updating the summer fans for the rooms. We had to change rooms as the window wouldn't open in the first one and one was left to perspire just standing... More

We stayed here for a close by wedding with friends. Both rooms were in the grange, albeit different blocks. The hotel was traditional on the outside but modern inside which was a nice twist. Yes we did have a few minute walk to the Grange as others have mentioned but it was a pleasant walk, especially if you take the... More

Stayed here for three nights while visiting family in Reading. Lovely grounds, room beside reception was modern and clean. We found the room to be noisy as it was on ground floor at main door with too much going on. Staff were very helpful and courteous, we also enjoyed our breakfast each morning. BMW have their training conferences in part... More

Stylish decor alone does not make a good hotel. Firstly, the room I booked was not the room I received, and was instead allocated a tiny bedroom that could have been mistaken for a sauna. Though stylishly decorated, there were maintenance issues that needed addressing, such as the bath panel that had spoilt through water ingress. The room service menu... More

Stayed here with my wife for a night as we had a party nearby to attend, grounds look nice on approach, but like most of the other reviews, this is the best part. Check in was quick, so quick we weren't asked if we needed a hand with our luggage or morning papers etc.. we also stayed in the grange,... More

This hotel looks so grand and beautiful on approach - very imposing gateway and drive, huge parkland setting, and a rather beautiful house ( from the outside). However, downhill all the way after that, except for the two members of staff we spoke to, who were very pleasant, and tried to help, but didn't have much to work with. We... More

I actually really enjoyed by stay here this time round - I was again in The Grange, away from the main house. My room was clean, had been recently refurbished and the bed was very comfortable. My only niggle would be the state of the corridors and room doors - which all need a refurb! I was here on business... More

We've been at plenty of de Vere Hotels and Conference Centres in the past and they are always good value for money. This was just the same, although our room was about a 5 minute walk from the Reception and Dining Room, in a separate building. Luckily, it wasn't raining when we arrived, nor when we went for breakfast the... More

Stayed here June 2014, one night, Sunday 29th June. After reading reviews I was dubious about this hotel. On arrival the lovely Irish receptionist booked us in to room 36 in the main building. lovely room with a view over the grounds at the back.Came down to the bar at 4pm it was shut as the young man behind the bar... After driving round for 40 minutes we finally arrived at Warbrook House. The sat nav took us to a locked gate. The keys were handed over with a brief explanation of the location of the bedroom and the times for breakfast. After a good meal in the bar we went to find the bedroom, it was in the Grange and...
