We stayed for two nights and were allocated a room in the Grange which is located in the grounds. It was very quiet when we stayed and thankfully dry as the long walk between the house where the food was served, and the grange could have been a problem. However the food was good, the breakfast excellent bufet style, the... More

Arrived late at night and was allocated a room in one of the outbuildings. There isn't much in the way of signage and the receptionist was the only member of staff available so it did take me some time to locate my room. The rooms itself was pleasant with a patio door out onto a little slabbed area. Iron available... More

Stayed here on business for one night in September 2014. The hotel is as individual as any De Vere venue, however the quality is on a par for the group. The hotel is well located, and in nice grounds. The public areas are clean and well furnished, staff are great, and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is... More

My wife and I visited here after planning to stay at friends but changing our mind last minute. We stayed for one night and I only booked the room at about 23.30. It was £80 for the night which was reasonable and we arrived at after midnight with no issues at all. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The place is... More

I was put in an annex of the hotel, nearly 5 minutes away from the main hotel. I ordered a steak for dinner on room service and it came 1 hour later, without any condiments, cold and burnt. They also did not have any diet coke or lemonade in the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was more expensive than... More

Booked as a romantic overnighter for my partner and I. Upon arrive staff are very friendly. Was disappointed by the deluxe double room (would hate to see what the standard looked like!) and then having specifically asked for a view room we where literally the only room on the level that didn't have a view (something from the lower roof... Stayed here for a business function. Had very tired room in main house. Right next to a fire door which clearly needed some WD40. Food very average. Bar ridiculously busy and one person serving. Air con units in main conference are incredibly noisy. Breakfast just completely average.

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a wedding reception. Our room was in the main house and it was situated at the back overlooking the gardens and the lake. However as it was a warm day the sun shone directly on the back of the house making our room extremely hot, there was no air con... More

Stayed as we got an offer for £20. Got to reception to be packed off again to the 'annexe' which is a fair distance away and what you would call a cheap old travel lodge. No staff and a choir convention on beneath our room until late. no remote for the TV and told they were busy. Plastic under sheet... More

We stayed here for one night on a Saturday. On check in the front of house were very friendly and we given directions to the Grange a short drive away. The Grange was perfect for our stay. It was quiet, rooms were adequate sized (not massive but everything you need) and our room was clean and tidy. The bed was... More
