We had a family meal while staying nearby, We havnt had such great food for a while. Your often disapointed when you go out as a family but the Red Lion is real Gem. The service was excellent, the food was fresh and tasty. A traditional menu with propper home cooked food. These pubs are hard to find but we... More

I stayed in a lovely room overlooking the garden at the back and it was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and good shower . Jayne and Stuart, the owners, were very friendly and made me feel very welcome, especially as I was staying on my own. They also allowed me to check out very late as I was... More

We ordered food and the old guy behind the bar said it would take 30 mins which was fine because our kids played in the garden. 45 mins later no food, we went to ask at the bar and he said he did not say that. One of our kids said they should changed their name to Red Liar. Very... More

We spent one night at the Red Lion and it was perfect. The room was absolutely spotless and I loved all the little touches such as good quality soap and shower gel. The landlords were really friendly and chatty but not in your face and let us get on with it. We originally decided to stay as it was listed... More

Stuart and Jane and their family are the best landlords you could possible wish to meet. They remember your name, what you drink and are thankful and grateful for your custom. The pub is noticeably spotlessly clean. Great pub food. Great beer and wine. They are dog friendly and have a doggy treat jar on the bar to make the... More

We booked for Sunday lunch - never having been to this pub before. When we walked in, the decor was unpreposessing to say the least - but everyone looked comfortable and there was an excellent atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the Landlord and shown to a nice table where we enjoyed a terrific value Sunday roast followed by excellent... More

We stopped here for a pint of ale. Lovely sunshine in the garden in the afternoon. Good atmosphere, staff were friendly and reasonable bar prices - recommended. It's easily found in the town. The bar had a selection of 2 real ales and two ciders on draught. We'd happily have drinks here again.

Booked to stay at the Red Lion in Milford on Sea as we were travelling down from Surrey to go to La Perle restaurant. We dropped in on the off chance of a room for the evening - what a delightful place, which was friendly and accomodating. Excellent room, with good shower, and all spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a feast, served promptly on arrival in the dining room, but not hurried. I would reccomend this as a place to stay, as the service was... More
