We found this to be a lovely place to stay, all staff very friendly & welcoming, room was clean, bright and comfortable with views across to North Wales. Excellent breakfast. Seemed good atmosphere in pub. We were in the area for a family birthday celebration, and stayed here. We will come back. Thank you.

I took my daughter for lunch on Easter Monday, I booked the Jug & Bottle because I had heard some good reports. We arrived and were seated in the restaurant by very pleasant staff. The menu was very disappointing, a very limited choice only about 5 main dishes.. i.e. Liver, and Ribs were the only main dishes of any substance.... More

Having eaten may a time in the Cottage Loaf, their sister pub in Llandudno, we decided to give the Jug & Bottle a try. The bar area is quite large and there is a good selection of real ales and one draught cider and as the bar was quiet, we had no problem finding a seat. We ordered a main... More

I had the pleasure of staying here, as my wife was having a operation at arrow park hospital. 2 nights turned into 3 , but given only half an hours notice for the 3rd unexpected night, the hotel knew my situation and pulled out all the stops. The food is to die for, fine ales, good friendly service. Clean comfortable... More

I stayed here on business about a month ago. It really is a great pub. In the evening I sat at the bar and made friends with the locals. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The steak was delicious and the chips were to die for. The room I had was for single occupancy however I had a... More

We stayed here for one night with family as we were going to a party in Heswall. The rooms were nice and comfortable with great views. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the food was lovely. I would definitely stay again. We sat having a drink by the fire and looked at the Ala carte menu which had... More

We stayed at the Jug and Bottle for 3 days, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, room very clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. Breakfast freshly cooked to order and plenty of it. It was great to see that dogs were welcomed in the bar, a good choice of beer and wine.

We have never eaten here before but visited on a very cold Sunday. The staff were really friendly and there was a lovely welcoming fire burning. The food was excellent and the puddings were given a bit more imagination than the usual sweets you often find on menus. We ate in the bar as we had our dog with us... More
