We stayed at Peel Hey recently as we were going to a wedding on the Wirral. We were looking forward to it after reading all the comments on this website and have to say we were not disappointed at all. The welcome we received was like being greeted by friends. Ken and Lily were particularly welcoming. The room was decorated... more

Great location to play the golf courses of the Wirral peninsular. Our group of 8 occupied 8 of the 9 rooms. No complaints from any of us. Some rooms just had showers, which was a slight problem after playing 36 holes at Wallasey GC. A tough course in gale force winds, but fantastic links. No wonder it was the 2006... more

Having stayed at the Pel Hey twice, once last year and just returned from a recent visit to relatives, I feel I must write to let future guests know that this is one of the best places we have stayed. The staff were discreet, yet always on hand when required. The breakfasts were very good and freshly made. We had... more

I have no UK house because my home is a villa in Cyprus.I return to UK working on consultancy contracts. My current contract started in June 08 and will last to July 09. To stay somewhere for this period of time a home from home hotel is required. After reviewing several establishments in the area, I settled on Peel Hey. In... more

We have recently returned from a two night break at The Peel Hey Country Hotel and found it an extremely peaceful and tranquil hotel in gorgeous surroundings. We stayed in room 2 which was very spacious and had plenty of room to put all of our belongings. The staff were extremely helpful and were always happy to oblige with anything... more

The website assumes that guests will always arrive via the M53. Arriving from this direction has the advantage that there two advance signs both of which show up in the headlights of a car. No assistance is given for anyone arriving from the other direction. In daylight this may not be a problem but in the dark and with the... more

At Peel Hey we are constantly striving to improve our establishment and facilities and take on board all our guests’ comments. We are obviously extremely disappointed that the above guest did not give us an opportunity to address their issues during their stay with us, and only brought their observations to our attention on their day of departure. Had we...

I stayed at the Peel Hey B&B in January, 2009. It was a very relaxing experience. The staff is friendly and willing to answer all of your questions. The rooms are lovely and no expense was spared with the quality of the linens. The beds are very comfortable, and they give you plenty of pillows. This is a place to... more

I just spent a night at Peel Hey whilst on business in the Wirral. The setting is good, its easy to find and the surrounding area is very peaceful. I arrived late and ended up in room 6, which has a bunk bed on a mezzanine floor. The decor is fine and the bed was comfortable. I was a bit... more

Just to clarify our guests' comment, Room 6 has a queen size bed with brass bedstead on the lower level, and then bunk beds on a mezzanine floor above, making it an ideal room for visiting families.
