Fed up of corporate chains, I booked the Red Lion as part of a business trip in order to get a bit of pretty village hospitality and i was not disappointed - Great welcome at reception, offered food, drinks, wifi, help with luggage - the works - My room was very clean, great facilities, even had a mini library in... Visited 25th - 27th July 2014 - Stayed in Room Number 1. A small, hotel conveniently located in the heart of Radlett village. (Herts.) Good parking adjacent to the hotel. Air-conditioniung with individual controls; windows that open; comfortable bed; Reasonably sized bathroom - shower was in bath, not separate, but the curtain actually worked (unusual) so no water on the... The only downside to staying in this delightful old English pub, is that the stairs are steep and there is no elevator. However the staff are extremely helpful and even though there is no porter, they will assist if you are struggling. Radlett has an excellent rail connection to Lonon too. We stayed here as part of a trip round... More

The Red Lion is a beautiful hotel, with fantastic staff. It's the perfect location just out of London to enjoy some quiet time with locals. Loved the decor, the food, the comfort and the location. It's just across the street from the Radlett train station. We will definitely stay at the Red Lion the next time we return for a... More

Stayed for just one night but great value and so much more personality than a premier inn for less money.....well appointed room and good bathroom... Aircon and windows that actually open unlike so many chain hotels.... Friendly staff and secure car park and all a stones throw from watford. All in all what more could you want!

our extended family stayed here (all 13 rooms) last weekend for a birthday celebration, and we also booked the function room which we used over a period of 24 hours. the service from all the staff was good, but from the two managers it was totally faultless. nothing was too much trouble: support for various religious requirements; constant refills of...
