We stayed at this hotel for our mini-moon during the last week of July. We had The Lookout which was a room in a small hut (which we assume used to be a shed) overlooking the sea. Although the room was small, it was cosy and comfortable and not being attached to the main building made the stay a little... More

This is a delightful sophisticated romantic hotel near the shore of a fairly little fishing port. The ambience is very pleasant being relaxed but tastefully decorated. The fine dining makes use of the locally caught fish and shell fish. If it is on the menu try the crab mousse.

We arrived on a rainy day to have cream tea, this is the first time we have visited since the hotel changed owners. I have to say that I wasn't impressed, it felt like a lounge for their residents to hang out and like they weren't prepared for other guests. I would have put in down to that twilight time... More

Stayed here for a couple nights in a standard room, which was lovely, it was a good size with a queen sized bed, tea & coffee and all toiletries, and best of all we had a little view of the sea! (room 306) We booked bed and breakfast and ate in the dining room both mornings, I had the full... More

Just spent a week at the Lugger Hotel and all I can say is we will be returning. This hotel stands overlooking the most beautiful stunning scenery, we were upgraded to a little cottage with amazing sea views, our room had robes and slippers and complementary magazines, each day cakes and shortbread left for our return, each night chocolate and... We stayed 4 nights in a deluxe room with amazing views of the harbour. Room 103 is across the boat slipway and not in the hotel building. Although the path needs flat heeled shoes, staff on reception were most accommodating in looking after mine as I changed into high heeled sandals each night! Breakfasts were very good with lots of... We just finished a 6 day holiday at the Lugger Hotel in Portloe, overall it was a fantastic holiday with very few negatives. Portloe itself is a picture post card fishing village, it boast one hotel, one pub and that is it , no shops , no petrol station nothing. So if you are looking for a complete get away from... More

I was booked into The Lugger as my cousin was getting married there, well in the church next door. Richard is a wonderful Manager along with all his staff. Our room was lovely & a pop up bed was set up for my daughter. We had a gorgeous terrace that over looked beautiful cottages & the sea. The personal touches... More

This is a wonderful hotel in a secluded Cornish fishing port. The ambiance is good, the rooms tastefully furnished and the meals of a very high standard. I thoroughly recommend it and look forward to returning there. I was particularly taken with the fine dining which utilises locally caught sea food.
