I love this hotel the location is second to none. All your worries are left behind when you arrive here. Good Food, Bouncy Pillows, Big Comfortable Bed. Great watching the fishing boat on the water from my room Sitting outside on the terrace eating lunch is just perfect. Parking is a little difficult but small niggle in the big picture.

I booked The Lugger for my hubsand's 60th birthday on the basis that there was no internet/phone connection (as he has a very stressful job!) and I wanted him to "get away from it all"! (However, connection was sometimes possible from the hotel lounge!) The Lugger is set in a stunning location - it's toes dipping into the sea of... More

stayed here 40 years ago on our honeymoon, mentioned this in the booking and on arrival at reception, but the receptionist seemed not to care or even notice, friends even phoned ahead and arranged for a box of chocs and a card to be left in the room. That apart, our stay was memorable mainly because the staff were all... More

We were forewarned by other reviewers that the quality rooms (i.e. 201/202 and rooms with balconies) in this lovely little hotel are directly linked to your level of enjoyment. But there was a sentimental reason to book at short notice and accept a superior double (304) which we found gloomy with dated bathroom. Others, it has to be said, have... More

Little boutique hotel slap bang on the slipway of the tiny bay with gorgeous view from the bar/restaurant. Attentive staff, excellent food both for breakfast and dinner. Cosy yet light and airy, contemporary feel without losing touch of the fact that's it is in a tiny fishing village. Bedroom was very comfortable, king size bed, flat panel TV with sky,... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. It's great to read your lovely comments. The Lugger is the best place to do as much or as little as you like during your stay. As posted in earlier replies, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the terrace has taken longer than we had hoped to be repaired,... More

This is a lovely hotel off the beaten track. It's located in a very small working fishing cove and not suitable for sitting on the beach though there are other beautiful beaches either side which are a car drive or can be accessed via the coastal path (not an easy walk). Hotel is clean and modern. The room we stayed... More

The Lugger hotel is a really beautiful hotel and the location is stunning. We stayed in a deluxe room across the slipway from the main building; the room itself was faultless; listening to the sea as you lay in bed was a real treat, as were the views from the patio day and night. The decor in the room is... More

We have just returned from our third trip to this hotel which of course speaks volumes in itself. It couldn't be in a better location in terms of getting away from it all, beautiful fishing cove, but as other reviewers have said beware of narrow lanes en route. The food both at breakfast and in the evening was excellent and... More
