Enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. First visit to the Villa in many years - it is now under new ownership. Had booked for the restaurant rather than eating off the bar menu and found first-rate "Masterchef"-type food combined with proper service led by the Head Waiter with a very well-trained and pleasant team of staff.

Booked this trip on others peoples recommendiations and I'm so glad I did. This is a lovely, quite, relaxing place. Looking to go again. Could not find anything wrong with the place. Book, book, book...

Nice bedrooms, great for familys plus animals, the hotel food is excellent Nigel and his team are very good can i recomend it YES its fantastic to sit in the court yrad on a sunny day and enjoy lunch outside the drinks are average priced the food in very good value for money

All I can say was that we had excellent service from the moment we walked through the door, nothing was too much trouble, our birthday girl thought there was too much lime in her drink....it was replaced without question, the 2 hubbies wanted large portions of custard with their desserts...absolutely no problem, & no extra charge, the food was innovative... Was here for a wedding in January. There was not a fault I could give. This is a place I would love to have my own wedding. Room was pure luxury. Food was fantastic. All the staff very helpful witout having to be over friendly which is how it should be. Very proffesional and very effcient in every aspect.

Living locally & being a previous satisfied diner, a group of four of us visited the Restaurant on Saturday the 10th March only to be very dissapointed - untidy & unwelcoming Bar/Reception areas, rushed service, mediocre food & miniscule portions - Not Good & Not Happy!

This was a repeat visit to The Villa resataurant with friends from out of town. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. The restaurant has several impressive and elegant rooms in a restored 19th century country gentlemen's estate. The ambiance is top notch and added to a very memorable evening.
