We moved to The King's Arms to finish our weekend away, due to a terrible experience at The George next door. The manager told me he had only been there ten days and he was in the process of refurbishing the bedrooms, therefore, would only charge half price. He and Jade were friendly and went out of their way to... More

Took the kids for lunch, The food was lovely and we'll presented. Even our 1 year old ate it all. staff were very friendly, welcoming and good with the children. The prices were very reasonable. We had a great afternoon. Will definitely be going back again soon.

I was about to go into this pub for a drink when I was told to move my car by the manager, who is a smoker and also prepares the menu, and his staff. Having moved my car, they were still abusive to me and told me to go forth and procreate. If that is the attitude of the manager... More

My family stayed for one night this great pub and we all felt as if we were regulars there. Our group of six adults and one child was very warmly welcomed. Monty couldn't have done more to make our stay any better. We were warned that the rooms were basic but we found them adequate. Monty procured an air bed... More

Would most heartily recommend the Kings Arms to stay. Welcoming with genuinely friendly and lovely staff, great Landlord and barmaid. Nothing was too much for them, just wish we could have stopped longer. Will definitely stop again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Had a meal at the Kings Arms in Desborough, the prawns were like rubber, the beef was very very chewy, vegetables were rock solid and roast potatoes had been reheated then fried in a roasting pan on top of a gas cooker. absolutely awful. would not recommend to my worst enemy. I complained about it to the landlord he never... More

Very cheap indeed, at the price the cheap lumpy beds, thin old pillows, mean towels, grotty carpet etc were what I expected. What was not acceptable was the poor cleanliness, ie scummy sink, rings from previous teacups and worse of all, skid marks in the loo! The "free WIFI" did not exist, and the walls were extremely thin - the... More

Paying only £30 for a double room for the night, I wasn't expecting much, but it was better than expected. Double bed was comfy, heating effective, bathroom clean and functional. It was also remarkably quiet, except for the noise of the room upstairs and someone banging to be let in at midnight and out again at 6am. Downside--bottom sheet didn't... More
