When the brochure says it's a field away from the C2C it's right. Some dispute with local farmer means you must push the bike through the field. That said the rooms are clean and comfortable. The dinner on site is excellent as is breakfast. No bother getting a few beers and a glass of wine. Yes there are Cats and... More

Summary of our stay in Aug 2014. Access is via a mile long single track road with no passing places, leading to a farm track full of pot holes which will damage any low-ish suspension cars, a la BMW 3 series M Sport. Nothing for kids to do, took them in the garden which had cat poo in it. Communal... More

Where to start... We visited this B&B as a family to attend a wedding in the local area expecting a casual country B&B to spend our time when not involved in the wedding events, but what we got was an over controlling hostess, damp bedroom with damp bedding and probably the worst of all... Cat for breakfast which lead to... More

My whole family filled this b&b for a wedding and we couldn't be more disappointed with our stay. When we finally made it up the very long dirt track which is not for everyday cars we were greeted by the lady owner who I can only describe as rude and unwelcoming we felt like we were an inconvenience as there... I stayed for a week, and it was a week of heaven. The views were perfect, great nights sleep the home cooked food was to die for. The rooms where clean and well kept and the price was very reasonable. David And Irene are great a real barrel of laughs. Wonderful time and I would recomened this b&b to anyone.

I was cycling the CTC and this was the best venue of the week Lovely room excellent evening meal and best packed lunch of the week Unfortunately access is not straightforward and requires a little cross country walking !! but this does not detract too much

Welcoming, clean, great food. Used as a much needed stop before the final leg of Coast to Coast and it couldn't have been better. As B&Bs go this rates highly, the hosts are welcoming, considerate and just a little eccentric which suited out group of 13 just fine.

This was our final night during the C2C Trail. Irene and David were just wonderful. We had to call them at the beginning of our trip to give them our dinner order so that they could ensure they had all the items on hand for our arrival date. At that time, David gave us a heads up about changes in... More

Superb Accomodation, Excellent Location... Small dispute ongoing with the neighbor an access way etc. however that asidestill superb. We used this as a stop on our C2C Tour and we were overly impressed with the service, friendliness and well kept very clean accommodation. We were in the Annex (a separate bungalow type building) Looks like a new build. Even if... More
