I came across this hotel purely by accident as I was on the road going to towards Galway from Connemara and spotted it, I gave them a call as my usual hotel was full and was happy they had a room for me, I did get nervous when I saw the amount of coaches outside but this made no difference.... We booked on recommendation from our valet at our previous hotel, and were not disappointed. The hotel is on the coast side of R336 and 10-15 min from Galway. We were upgraded to a king overlooking the Galway Bay coastline and the koi pond courtyard, with a bay window the size of the wall and a windowsill on which an... More

This is a perfect place to be based overlooking the sea with excellent rooms and facilities (iron). If you can get a sea view it is really worth it. We had the second floor corner room that had huge double aspect windows with an amazing view. The spa and leisure facilities are small but more than adequate with an outdoor... More

We stayed for 2BB1D in May. It was a return trip from a lovely experience some years ago. It's not cheap. Yes the rooms are older, but there's no problem with that. When booking, we imagined the cost reflected the high quality of the restaurant ( because that's what it used to be). We were wrong. It was really only... More

We were booked in to this hotel outside Galway after The House Hotel in the city centre had inadvertently cancelled some of our booking. They were extremely apologetic and very helpful and efficient in finding us alternative rooms at a very busy time of year in the west of Ireland. Would definitely go back to House as a great city... I have mixed feelings about the Connemara Coast Hotel. The hotel lobby especially is beautiful. The views from my room were wonderful. Although, my parents view who were on the opposite side of the building was not. The room itself was okay. A little shabby, could use some updating. Looking at the pictures that the hotel posted I am wondering... More

The hotel looks like a nice lodge. I think we would have enjoyed it more hadn't we just come from two excellent and higher standard places (Inchydonya Island and Aghadoe Highs, go there instead if you can). The place is on the road and you will need to drive to go anywhere. Don't expect long walks along the bay (rocky).... More

We had a three night family break at this hotel and have returned home feeling really rested and very well fed! Our rooms were 201-203 with a partial sea view in 203. The rooms were very comfortable, very clean. Bathrooms though dated were spotless. There was a welcome plate of homemade cookies and lots of bottled water in our rooms... More

We booked this hotel at Galway races time. It is about 10Km west of Galway city. Staff are warm and helpful. Breakfast was everyting you could wish for with buffet cold food and hot food served to order and piping hot. Certainly a great start to any day. Dining room staff were just so well organised and friendly. Another couple... More
