Things have changed since we last stayed at the Ship. Still a great pub with really good beer and now an excellent restaurant with a good selection of tasty treats on the menu. Thoughtfully well appointed room, comfortable bed, terrace, sea view. Wendy, Stewart and all the staff do a great job. Thank you for another great stay.

Wonderful, old World Inn. Great staff, wonderful food. Fantastic beer. Comfortable and large room, comfy bed and large bathroom. Great breakfast and the night-time saw me enjoying a rare American band. Was handy for Lydd Airport and the attractions of Capel-le Ferne Battle of Britain Memorial, The Kent Battle of Britain Museum, Fly with a Spitfire experience with Action Stations,... More

I would like to reiterate what other reviewers have already said we had the sea view room it had the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in any hotel so far , the pub would benefit from some comfortable seating , the restaurant was very nice and the food was good,we had the fillet steak which was cooked perfectly,my... A big thank you to Wendy & Stewart at the Ship Inn. We had a lovely room at the top with our own sitting room, bedroom and en suite shower. Everything spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need was catered for. Great nights sleep and a very good freshly cooked breakfast the following morning. For people that like local... We stayed for one night, when we arrived I was a little apprehensive looking at the outside and being shown to our room which you access from a small passageway next door to pub - when we arrived at the room it was absolutely beautiful, a large room which had everything you could want for your stay and I think... Where to start? This place is amazing. We stayed in the gorgeous dual aspect room with lovely sea view and stylish, good quality furnishings. Breakfast was cooked & served personally at time to suit in restaurant again with that great sea view and as it was a nice day the doors were folded back. We have eaten here before so... More

My wife and I stayed here prior to using the channel tunnel. The accomodation was clean and modern with friendly landlords and staff. It is on the 'front' at Folkestone and our room faced the sea and we had a bedroom and sitting area. Parking was quite busy around the hotel. We had our dinner there and it was very... More

I emailed asking if there was any parking that I could reserve before arriving. The owner (Wendy) phoned me to explain that they are situated on the promenade & should be able to park - that's service & we weren't arriving for 2 weeks. We arrived earlier than expected & although we expected a sea view - what we got... More

We were looking for a one-night before the Tunnel, as a lot of people. As well as Tunnel closeness, we were drawn by the fact that it was practically on the beach, it was a pub and it had the chance of a sea-view. We were not disappointed, but the restaurant food was excellent, as was the breakfast and friendliness... More
