What a great place to stay and eat. Was down in the area for business and met an ex-colleague for a few drinks and dinner. Service and welcome were great, accomdation modern and clean, food was amazing. Thoroughly recommend.

Sit in the bar enjoy the rugby and the real ale, sit in the restaurant and enjoy the excellent food and service or when the weather permits sit in the sun on the outdoor terrace with something called. This pub has it all!

Don't be put off by the olde world traditional real ale (dark and dingy) pub frontage....stroll through and enjoy the view and their menu. It's not a fast food, out of the freezer, pre-cooked type so the menu is not huge but for me the scallops with black and white pudding were a delicious appetiser. Such pleasant service too!

10 of us went here last night for our team reunion and had a fantastic meal. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes, and the food is cooked to perfection. This is our third or fourth visit for our reunion and it's always perfect. The staff are always courteous and efficient, and we can't thank them enough for... More

We'd booked the Channel View Suite and it was great; spotlessly clean, well appointed, wonderfully comfortable bed. Lot of steps to climb to get there but we knew that in advance and it was worth it. No parking space outside when we arrived but ample parking on the High Street, although we moved our car later. Landlady Wendy is delightful... More

Positives: Great rooms overlooking the sea. Fantastic Restaurant. Freindly staff including Wendy the landlady. Negatives: If on the top room, the stairs, but the view is worth it. No parking linked to the hotel had to park in the road. But the positives outwieghed the negatives. Loved it

We decided to spend overnight in Folkestone as we had an early start via the Channel Tunnel the next day. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the young lady behind the bar and she kindly moved her car so that we could park outside the room. Whilst we were waiting to be shown to our room, we decided... More

We stopped off at The Ship Inn having spent the day out in Kent. Upon arrival we were shown to our room which was really nice with an en suite and large decked area. We had dinner in the restaurant which was absolutely delightful, the food was fantastic and the service even better. The pub itself has a wide selection... More

We have been here 2 year ago, and we have loved it. The restaurant is great. We had dinner and breakfast and it was excellent. The rooms are nice and clean, but look more like for a bed& breakfast location. I would go back for the restaurant.

My wife and I stayed at the Ship inn during August, on our way to France. I did my normal reviews and checked out the Ship inn. What I didn't do correctly was define the room from the restaurant and the pub. As far as we are concerned I will break it down for any future visitors. Restaurant - great,... More
