2nd visit to the Appleby Inn Hotel which was our stopover for a visit to Conkers to see live music at the ampitheatre. Rooms are spacious, clean, well furnished and comfortable. Breakfast is served at your table with a waitress service. Breakfast choice is very good and freshly prepared from cereals, fruit, vegetarian and standard options as well as a... More

Selection of fish with chips... Basically lots of cheap frozen fish think farmfoods quality... Thrown in a fryer and charged £10 for... We didn't eat it as it was awful and when asked for a refund we not only had to track the guy down twice but he was exceptionally rude, we did have one meal refunded eventually. We certainly... More

The food here is typical pub grub with the usual suspects on tap. There is a good childrens play area with seating and a five aside goal. This pub is very family friendly. My main gripe is that if you wish to run a tab they require your card. I stayed here a longer time ago and found the rooms... More

We booked two rooms and they took the trouble to call and inform us that there was a function on that may cause noise in the family room we had booked. We managed to get an alternative sorted. On arrival we were pleased with our rooms. Clean, spacious and well furnished. The only downside was the pressure of the shower.... More

The service here is excellent as they always have a good number of staff on and they all seem to know their role. The drinks are good and the food is fabulous especially the specials as they are always changing. Great place to take children as the play area is safe, big and great fun for them - with fields... We still go there regularly now 3 years later with our young son. Lovely home cooked food, big portions and always piping hot.... More

We stayed here as part of a large family wedding party. I only stayed for 1 night in room 6, a family room. The room is large and homely, maybe a tad dated but in a nice way, it isnt something I think needs changing. The room was spotless. There was a function on the night we stayed so it... More
