This is a lovely house in a beautiful village. The hosts were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. If we weren't about to move to the area we would stay there again and again. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Baileygate B&B as we had a party to go to in the village. Jim and Liz could not have been more welcoming (and understanding as we returned back a little late!). We made the booking at short notice and we stayed in the second B&B bedroom in the main house which was nice as we felt part... More

I stayed at this B&B whilst walking the Peddars Way and after a hard days walking I was very glad of my choice. Refreshing tea (with fresh milk straight from the fridge) and biscuits topped up my sugar levels, a stretch out on the sofa catching up on the news on the HD TV helped me rest before I popped... On arrival we were greeted by Jim, who immediately made us feel very welcome. The room (downstairs at the rear of the house) has its own entrance, which is a definite bonus. The beds were comfortable and the breakfasts excellent. The bathroom is modern and in very good order. The village is lovely and boasts two tea rooms (though only... More

My wife and I stayed at this B&B recently while we were walking Peddars Way. The room was comfortable, everything worked in the en-suite, and it has its own entry/exit with use of the back garden if you want to sit out. The B&B is within easy walking distance of the Ostrich local pub (good meals, by the way) which... More

We are always happy to help with small emergencies, such as described above, and are amending the breakfast menu to include scrambled eggs with smoked salmon for those that like fish with their breakfast. More

We had a spacious room with our own back door and a comfortable settee. The hosts made us welcome. Breakfast was delicious and was served in a lovely room decorated in Victorian Style. It is a shame that the house was in the process of being sold when we were there. It is well situated for those who wish to... More

Many thanks for your kind comments. We are pleased to confirm that our house is no longer for sale and we look forward to welcoming guests, visitors to Castle Acre and walkers on the Peddars Way for a few more years yet. More

A unique place to stay in a unique village. Arriving after a harder day walking on Peddar's Way than I expected, I was whisked away from the front doorstep by the hosts to be made comfortable as soon as I arrived here. This is a very large significant historic house within this very old village. I was shown to basically... More

I stayed at Baileygate while cycling the Peddars Way. I was given a ground floor room at the back of the house and was able to keep my bike in their secluded, and very nice, garden. Baileygate is very pretty much in the middle of Castle Acre and is an easy walk to the pub and other sights. The room... More

Stayed one night in a twin with my son walking the Peddars Way. Welcoming hosts Jim and Liz. Comfortable clean room with an excellent en suite. Room also had a separate private entrance which was handy with access directly to a path leading a few yards to the Castle. Big and fluffy heavy weight white towels, quality duvets with crisp... It is a five bedroomed property and, now that our children have fled the nest, we can offer an en-suite bed and breakfast (B & B) service and Peddars Way accommodation. We have two rooms.
