For around £70 you can stay in a travelodge near an industrial estate or a Premier Inn where everything is nailed down. Or for a similar price you can stay here. A fabulous large stone house with just the right balance of restoration and originality. The staff and owners are extremely welcoming and our room was excellent - bath a... More

We spent the weekend here while visiting our son who lives and works close by. The welcome on arrival from the staff was fantastic and after being shown to our room we were invited to book a table in the restaurant for that night which was a smart move as the meal was gorgeous and great value, a few drinks... We had a work meeting here, lovely place with a great manager/owner. The lunch was brilliant and the dinner perfect! Lovely comfy bedrooms and with towels big enough to cover all of me and not just my thigh! Only comment would be...Maybe choice of pillows (thick&medium) instead of all thick ones?!

It was a pleasant surprise to find good quality bedding in a small guest house, all very pleasant amenities with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Uncomfortable open-coil mattress though. The food in the restaurant lived up to expectations and was truely delicious. Unfortunately there was limited provision for vegetarians at breakfast time, but we were given a good... More

Once again Gordon and all his staff made feel welcome, this is our 7th stay and from the very first time we have always been looked after to a very high standard. We have already booked for another stay in April.

My wife and I travelled as a couple and stayed for two nights. We used Ash House as a base for our walking trips (of which there are many that start and finish within a 5 mile or so radius of the hotel). We had a perfect stay and can't think of a single thing that would have made it... More

We had dinner for our anniversary last night, and it was a really wonderful evening. Gordon and the staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is beautiful - warm and comfortable with soft lighting and just the right kind of background music in the bar. The meal was delicious and the desserts such a picture that we took photos of... More

Arrived at Ash Hotel to be welcomed by an extremely hospitable Gordon and staff. Staying here due to business in Yeovil that is literally 10 minutes away. After a long journey instantly relaxed in this beautiful oasis. We are booking a series of business conferences here due to such a prestigious location and fantastic amenities. The food here is truly... More

Entirely agree with previous positive reviews. OK, so we aren't talking Relais Chateaux furbishments here (you'd have to pay considerably more for that) but we are talking RC standards of service and attention to detail. We stayed overnight in two rooms with our teenage son. Both rooms were small but comfortable with en suite facilities, complimentary beverages, bottled water etc.... More

Arrived on Friday, relieved to see no floods, actually only 2.5% is flooded. Gordon the proprietor helped me (friend coming later) with my bag. Shown to room with a fresh pot of milk in hand. Ok so the room, greensleeves, isn't as stunning as I hoped but it's cute and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom and as is the... More

Thank you for your review, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry you did not feel your room was as good as you had hoped. This was the only standard room available for the two nights you stayed, there was an option to upgrade to a superior room on the wowcher booking form which... More
