Stayed overnight on route to the West Country. Warm friendly welcome. Very comfortable bed in a spacious room with everything you could need for a stop over, or longer. The food in the restaurant was amazing, the best we have had in a very long time all served by polite and efficient staff. We shall definitely visit again.

I was booked to stay the weekend @ this hotel. Unfortunately when we arrived the company who we had booked it through travel republic, had booked a room which wasn't available & the gentleman running hotel informed us he'd been booked up for weeks so fact we'd only booked it Thursday before didn't matter @ all. However he was more... More

I have to agree with IndigoChauffeur that this is a largely disappointing hotel in stark contrast to the rave reviews by other guests. The room we stayed in was very small with a standard double bed; some of the reviews commented on the quality of the linen - I might be used to the good life but the sheets and... More

Dear Guest Well this is a first, two below average reviews in a row! I am obviously sorry to hear your comments about our hotel. As mentioned in a previous reply, our rating is solely down to our guests comfort, enjoyment and the staff in the hotel and not down to being a five star or boutique hotel, which we... More

Stayed one night only. Room was perfectly clean but dated. Furniture rather basic. I suspect it was the most basic double room over the entrance? Superior rooms were sadly fully booked - perhaps we'd have felt differently if one had been available? Perfectly good nights sleep though and linen was fine and towels nice and thick. Must admit to being... More

It was easy to forget you were staying at an hotel & not the home of a wealthy friend. Rooms are comfortable & we appreciated the luxury of high quality linen. Our friends booked a superior room & it was certainly worth the extra charge as their room was very spacious with a huge bed & other extras. We ate... More

A small country house hotel in a beautiful Queen Anne style manor house, near Yeovil, offering excellent service and very good food. It's located in the high street of a not particularly attractive village, so don't expect acres of landscaped gardens, although there's a small and very pretty garden at the back. Rooms are very comfortable with adequate, if not... More

We stayed at Ash House for one night when we were attending a wedding in Muchelney. We were room only so did not have a chance to sample the food but from a comfort and service point of view, everything was perfect. For me, it's the little things that make the difference and the personal service and attention to detail... More

I cannot compliment Gordon and his team enough as they compilment the perfect setting for a hotel by friendly and effecient service. The room was gerat and the meals of the highest quality. Although the wifi & mobile reception is not greta in this area, just enjoy the gardens and history of the building.

Dear Ian Thank you very much for your kind comments. I have had an ongoing issue with our wi-fi but have now replaced both routers and have resolved the issues as there were conflicting signals which caused the connection to drop. We have also fixed our ethernet connections, which every room has. Due to our very thick walls, mobile reception... More

We stayed here for the first time when we attended a wedding in a nearby village. It was simply lovely. So relaxing. Apart from breakfast (yummy!) the wedding took over socially so we never had time to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. This year, we have recently enjoyed a fabulous lunch. Looked after by the wonderful Chrissie, it... More

Had to take a trip to Yeovil for a morning business meeting so decided to travel down the night before. Booked Ash House as it looked good online and i was not disappointed. The place is just off the A303 but feels like it is lost in the countryside, peaceful and perfect for a restful stop off. Staff and owner... More
