A small country house hotel in a beautiful Queen Anne style manor house, near Yeovil, offering excellent service and very good food. It's located in the high street of a not particularly attractive village, so don't expect acres of landscaped gardens, although there's a small and very pretty garden at the back. Rooms are very comfortable with adequate, if not... More

We stayed at Ash House for one night when we were attending a wedding in Muchelney. We were room only so did not have a chance to sample the food but from a comfort and service point of view, everything was perfect. For me, it's the little things that make the difference and the personal service and attention to detail... More

I cannot compliment Gordon and his team enough as they compilment the perfect setting for a hotel by friendly and effecient service. The room was gerat and the meals of the highest quality. Although the wifi & mobile reception is not greta in this area, just enjoy the gardens and history of the building.

Dear Ian Thank you very much for your kind comments. I have had an ongoing issue with our wi-fi but have now replaced both routers and have resolved the issues as there were conflicting signals which caused the connection to drop. We have also fixed our ethernet connections, which every room has. Due to our very thick walls, mobile reception... More

We stayed here for the first time when we attended a wedding in a nearby village. It was simply lovely. So relaxing. Apart from breakfast (yummy!) the wedding took over socially so we never had time to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. This year, we have recently enjoyed a fabulous lunch. Looked after by the wonderful Chrissie, it... More

Had to take a trip to Yeovil for a morning business meeting so decided to travel down the night before. Booked Ash House as it looked good online and i was not disappointed. The place is just off the A303 but feels like it is lost in the countryside, peaceful and perfect for a restful stop off. Staff and owner... More

I stayed at the Ash House Hotel overnight last Thursday - in the "Russett" Room under the eves. It was a gorgeous room, everything was so well presented. The ambiance was very tranquil and soothing, just what I needed. Breakfast was excellent - served in the "Orangery" overlooking the beautiful garden. It was a lovely stay, booked on the day.... More

Recently enjoyed a two night break at Ash House. A lovely old house with beautiful gardens in a nice village setting. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and our room was very clean and well appointed. Breakfast, served in the large conservatory over looking the garden was good. Booked a table for evening meal on the first night -... More

My wife and I spent 1 night here at Easter. It was suprisingly quiet considering it was a bank holiday weekend, which was exactly what we were hoping for. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and has a few drinks in the lounge/bar area beforehand, which was nice. The meal was fantastic, really delicious food. The room was... More
