Located in lovely countryside. Very friendly staff. Food excellent. Nice big room. Very comfortable. Local beers & ciders. Handily placed yet away from crowds Service a little slow at busy times (half-hour between sitting down and getting breakfast). No air conditioning which in hot weather necessitated open windows with some noise in rooms at the front of the building

We had a warm welcome and excellent food at this 300+year old pub in Wiveliscombe. The room, bathroom and linen were clean and comfortable, and the venue was perfect for exploring the Somerset countryside. As might be expected in a building of this age the layout was 'quirky' and the route to some rooms involved many steps. Free Wi-Fi was... More

We have a static caravan locally to The White Heart, we have driven past this pub for a few years, yet noticed recently it appeared to have changed. We had a Sunday Lunch to 'test the waters' and were so impressed we now look for any excuse or opportunity to visit, in fact I had a lovely lunch on my... More

The White Hart was booked for our short visit to friends due to its vicinity and very reasonable price! However, I maintain that even if it was very cheap for two nights bed and breakfast we should have received good service - which we didn't. Our room was actually quite good despite being dated and in need of a refurb... More

I managed to get a room here for 2 nights B&B at a great price close to travelling. Its a nice pub inside as opposed to the more rough and ready establishment opposite. The room was functional, nothing special but did the job, free wifi and a cracking breakfast both days. I gather this is the best place to stay... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. The owners are working very hard to make The White Hart the fantastic place that it is. The rooms are undergoing a very nice refurb with all new furniture fixtures and fittings and it is coming along very nicely. Please do come and visit us again. Kind regards Nikki... More

8 of us arrived for a late Sunday lunch to be advised that the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes. A very quick peruse of the menu and we'd made our decision. It's a lovely old style but very comfortable pub restaurant. The staff member who served us was very efficient and friendly, our drinks and food arrived in... More

A warm welcome on our arrival at the White Hart by the landlord, polite staff throughout our during our one night stay for our party of two couples. Happy hour drink prices from 5-7pm a bonus, local ales and ciders, we took full advantage. Dinner that evening in the pub restaurant did not disappoint, reasonable prices and portions although i... Me and my other half visited the white hart last month as part of the groupon offer we found online. I think I speak for majority of groupon users when I say that there is always a slight fear of being treated a little but different than paying visitors. The White Hart surprised us positively though! The staff was very... More

We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it! We ate in the restaurant on the Friday night and both thought the food was superb and very reasonably priced, we were also very happy with the breakfast we had both mornings, the portions were huge! (which was included in the price of the room). The staff were very friendly, helpful... More

We stayed here for 1 night, the room we had (No 16) was fine, clean and decent bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the bar, and they had a nice selection of beers. The downside to our stay was that the next morning, my husband was in the shower, I was sat on the bed watching TV -... More
