Came here on recommendation of a friend who said it was a wonderful place. He was not wrong! It is wonderful in every way. Sharyn and john are wonderful hosts - when we arrived we had coffee brought to the lounge and Sharyn and John were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were fantastic, decor elegant and under stated absolutely clean.... More

This was our first visit to Ixworth House & it will NOT be our last!! Where do I start, if other new b&b owners are just about to start out, this is THE b&b to set your business standards against. John & Sharyn are the perfect hosts, a lovely couple, where nothing is to much trouble. Their house/rooms are immaculate,... More

As the saying goes "Third time lucky". However, luck has absolutely nothing to do with this excellent B&B. As I've said in my first review, the standards applied to every aspect of this business are at the very highest level and, not being content with that, both Sharyn and John go not just one extra mile they go several. Their... More

i was booked into Ixworth House for business by my client and couldn't have wished for anything more perfect. Sharon and John were fantastic hosts and the house itself is nothing short of stunning. The room I stayed in was decorated to a very high standard and the facilities were better than most hotels I have stayed in. I will... More

A lovely welcome awaited us at Ixworth House. Sadly our stay was very short. We had a party to go to shortly after our arrival. We were concerned about coming back in the `wee small hours' but we were given a key which made us feel comfortable. Our bedroom was large, airy and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, with lovely white... More

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in December and I would say it is probably the best B&B I have stayed in. The room we stayed in was very spacious, including the en-suite and was of a very high quality, there was also the use of an equally good lounge where tea was served on arrival. The... More

I arrived here on my own for a break away and catch up with friends in the area. John welcomed me on arrival and I was shown the dining room and bedroom. He then made me a pot of tea with yummy biscuits which was welcome after a long drive. My room was exceptionally clean, spacious and very comfortable. At... More

We had a nightmare booking through a third party so went direct to John and Sharyn who were really helpful. On arrival we were greeted by both and they really made a fuss of our little baby and you really felt like you had gone to visit a long lost relative. The rooms are clean and well maintained and decorative... More

Just returned from 3 wonderful nights here and wish we were still there!!! Upon arrival on Friday evening we received such a warm and friendly welcome from John and Sharyn. We were offered a pot of tea but politely declined as we were hungry and went to the village pub upon their recommendation. The room was fantastic, the bed so... More

Ixworth house lives up to its 4 in a bed winner status. Great welcome exerlant room and fab breakfast. All the elements of what a class B&B should have. It's close to the old town of Bury St Edmunds where there are many attraction including the Abbey Gardens which are well worth a visit.
