Went on a Saturday lunchtime and the service was excellent and the food even better. Definitely recommend the goats cheese and mushroom penne pasta or the fish and chips. Heavenly. Lovely old pub in a popular village.

Recently spent a night at this wonderful B&B. The room was huge and very comfortable, with great amenities and I can’t commend the staff enough! The service we received was astounding and the staff alone were enough to give this 5 stars. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and the food was amazing, such high quality... More

Visited the pub after a walk near the village. Nice cosy bar with plenty of staff. Sunny patio area which looked well cared for. Did not eat here but observed the food coming out. Good portions and the plates looked like they have been licked clean! Hope to return and stay the night as there are lovely places to visit... More

We stayed for just one (Saturday) night. Had booked quite late so not surprised that restaurant was full, especially following a Christening. Even so, the member of staff who booked us in managed to find a slot for us if we wanted it and, if we did not, offered to make a reservation for us at a restaurant in Bury:... More

Stayed for one night and was welcomed by very friendly staff and shown to our very large clean room. It was lovely, however right above the bar and you can hear everything, even peoples conversations. It was like they were in the room with us. Not pleasant for a quiet night in your room and this was on a Thursday... More

Stayed one night. Booked at the last minute and needed a place that was dog friendly. The staff were excellent, the food better than expected with plenty to choose from. The room was comfortable and spacious and everything worked. Yes, the taps were a bit stiff and the plumbing a bit noisy but after their good beer did it matter.... More

Thank you Paul for the review. As I mentioned to Sue in the previous response it was a pleasure looking after you all and were only too glad to do the early breakfast. I appreciate the comment about the noise, it is difficult as we are a thriving local pub and they do tend to make a little noise!! See... More

Visited this lovely worldly Inn after a recommendation, the food was very average and overpriced a sandwich for £6 ish with dry Bread from a standard supermarket loaf, and whitebait served with no Bread or roll at all which is the first time for me as i always have this wherever i go. The burgers were quite greasy and rubbery... More
