Stayed for one night and was welcomed by very friendly staff and shown to our very large clean room. It was lovely, however right above the bar and you can hear everything, even peoples conversations. It was like they were in the room with us. Not pleasant for a quiet night in your room and this was on a Thursday... More

Stayed one night. Booked at the last minute and needed a place that was dog friendly. The staff were excellent, the food better than expected with plenty to choose from. The room was comfortable and spacious and everything worked. Yes, the taps were a bit stiff and the plumbing a bit noisy but after their good beer did it matter.... More

Just arrived back after spending only one night at the pub, such a lovely warm welcome, staff very friendly and food excellent. Was abit apprehensive reading some of the reviews but needn't have worried. Even the locals were friendly. Good clean room, good supply of milk, coffee, tea and biscuits and two bottles of water, free wifi, large TV, great... More

Highly recommend this beautiful inn with amazing rooms and fantastic staff. Extremely good value. Definitely will be coming back! Breakfast was very well set out and made exactly how I wanted. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this establishment.

Visited this lovely worldly Inn after a recommendation, the food was very average and overpriced a sandwich for £6 ish with dry Bread from a standard supermarket loaf, and whitebait served with no Bread or roll at all which is the first time for me as i always have this wherever i go. The burgers were quite greasy and rubbery... More

This traditional and charming coaching house provides individual and comfortable rooms at reasonable prices. As you would expect from Green King, this is a well managed establishment and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would certainty stay there again when visiting friends and family in the area. With a few refinements to reception and dressing, it could be truly... More

Stayed here last week on business and found it really relaxing. Clean room, nice bed, large flat screen TV and an excellent food made this small establishment really good value. Although a little out of the way, it is certainly worth a visit.

We stayed for 2 nights the room was spacious and clean, the beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, friendly staff, free parking and the pub was definitely a meeting place for the locals. We would recommend the B&B but not the evening meals, really poor value for money example ordered shepherd's pie and veg, got shepherd's pie... More

Hi Linda, thank you for your review and kind comments with regard to the room and breakfast etc. I am sorry you felt that the shepherds pie was disgraceful, we have a good food following and the shepherds pie is always a top seller, complaints about our portion sizes are extremely rare. You must try something else on your return... More

This was the second time staying at the pikkerell for us and both times have been perfect. We arrived on Friday night from London with our two doggies and even though the kitchen closed at 9 and we were a bit late they still kept it open for us. The food was outstanding, as was the locket young lady serving... More
