My husband and I do not live far from this beautiful house and had wanted to stay here since my husband brought me last Valentine's Day for a meal. Our stay did not disappoint, a stunning house with a beautiful gardens, extremely elegant decor and a beautiful view over the south downs. Jackie and Steve were excellent hosts, being friendly... more

My husband and I stayed at Burpham Country House for a night at the weekend, just to get away from home. The hotel had a lovely country house feel to it, luxurious in a way but not pretentious or too big. The room was really pleasant, the only bugbear was for that price it was a shame not to have... more

A small correction to this review, which indicates that only one room has a bath. We have rooms with baths in each category of room, from standard through to luxury, so four of our 10 rooms have baths as well as showers.

Ultimate relaxing weekend away. We were greated by warm and friendly staff, and a smiley fat, black and white cat. The food is fantastic. The breakfasts generous and all produce of the highest standards. Guests also have use of a comfortable lounge, and the garden. We're planning on bringing my in laws here for a weekend away and will be... more

For a quiet spot with excellent and friendly service, it would be hard to fault this family run small hotel. With only 10 rooms, and the Patron in the kitchen, you have the perfect combination for a relaxing break away from the hustle & bustle of modern living. If excellent cuisine, an idyllic setting overlooking the flood plane of the... more

This is a lovely old house and very relaxed but we felt it lacked the little extras that would have made it special. The food was good but there wasn't enough, and I still felt hungry after 2 courses of dinner. The breakfasts were a bit unexciting and there weren't newspapers or offers of more toast/tea etc. The fire is... more

we stayed 2 nights with dinner. The hotel was clean, friendly and comfortable and good value for a luxurious country service. The room was great. (2nd floor, side) bathroom was modern and tidy -either a bit atticky with a slopey roof or with all the character of an old building, you choose. All the food was obviously cooked thoughtfully and... more

My fiance and I stayed at Burpham Country House Hotel last year during Goodwood races and loved it so much that we were determined to return. We stayed for 4 nights this time and our only regret is that is wasn't longer! The house is beautifully furnished but has a real homely feel to it as well. Our room on... more

We stayed here at the end of July for two nights and our only regret about the booking was that we wished we'd booked for longer. As soon as you turn off the main road to Arundel and wind your way down to the picture book perfect village of Burpham you can feel your cares and worries slipping away. This... more

My wife and I stayed at this delightful country house hotel for three nights. I was walking with crutches following an operation but was able to negotiate all public areas without difficulty. The rooms are very tastefully decorated which adds to the tranquility of the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and we were at ease from... more
