Quaint country setting. Accomodations for a cottage were changed quickly when heat and tv were not working. Moved to main hotel to spacious room. great pressure and temp in shower made it easy to relax and enjoy our time there. Food was great, staff was exceptional in service, and beds were so comfortable. staff spent time with directions and nearby... More

Booked on Saturday luckily we got a room.On arrival we were given the key for room 12 which had a foosty smell, immediately we were moved to 7 a great big room, spotlessly clean and sort of old fashioned, but there was something missing , a change of colour and change of duvet can work wonders. The staff were really friendly... Stayed here numerous times over the years and recently had another great weekend in the company of a large group of friends. As usual the hotel was warm and welcoming, staff couldn't do enough for you and while we have rarely had any issue with the food, what we experienced this year was undoubtedly the best ever. The rooms are... More

We stayed four nights and found it a perfect getaway. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming , making you feel completely at home from the minute you walk in.Cosy open fires. Room was very large with two double beds and very well- designed spacious bathroom.Everything kept spick and span. No noise so great for a good night's sleep. The... More

Stayed for 2 nights at end of January and had a brilliant time. Once again you are fully relaxed as soon as you arrive and had bar snack on Friday night. Although the weather was poor we kept ourselves busy on Saturday going to Coleraine and Portstewart before having our meal included in the price in the restaurant. Everything brilliant... More

Had a wonderful weekend in one of the Chalet Bungalows. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Service is second to none and food is to die for! Will certainly be going back again as soon as possible. My only complaint was that I had to come home!

Been going to the Brown Trout for years. A super place to escape to, leaving the city behind. Just returned from a weekend break end January 2014. Service and food were yet again excellent and nothing is too much trouble for all the staff. It is great to go to a hotel where dogs are welcome. We did not need... More

We stayed here during our short break to Northern Ireland recently. Great roaring fireplaces, lovely atmosphere, very very friendly staff and lovely big breakfasts in the morning. (so much that I couldn't manage the toast either morning) Our little cottage had a huge bedroom with two double beds, tv, table etc., and a huge bathroom. It was kitted out such... More
