We stayed here overnight after a business meeting in Buckingham, the room was a good size & was reasonably clean (huge cobwebs in the vaulted ceiling and beams). It was also a little off putting when the receptionist who showed us to the room flushed the toilet as he inspected the bathroom! We were too tired to ask questions as... More

Arrived in superior double room (think not!) sheets hadn't been changed from previous occupant, Cups were not washed, crumbs on the table. Room obviously hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time ( size of cobwebs) next door had disposable BBQ going creating vast amount of smoke. Wild noisy peacocks roaming the grounds, got our money back & left

As a present for my son and his wife I booked them for one night into The Oxfordshire Inn - when I booked I paid and advised that it was a present. On arrival my son was asked to pay - even though he stressed that it had already been paid - the receptionist insisted and, as he already had... More

The Oxfordshire Inn is very out of the way. There really is nothing within safe walking distance, so you either go somewhere by car or you are tied into the hotel's own bar and restaurant. When we stayed, the restaurant was full of a wedding party (we were told in advance that no food would be available) so we drove... More

We stayed here for one night and were not disappointed. The bedroom was spacious with massive comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with spa bath and a nice patio area attached to the room where you could enjoy watching the horses in a nearby field. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent value for money. The exterior... More

We booked this hotel as a base for few days away to see family. On arrival, we were greeted by being asked to pay one night there and then and the remaining two nights on the day we left, this was due to the Hotel being taken over by a new owner. The accommodation comprised of an old building that... More

Great hotel in a lovely setting way out in the country. We awoke to the sounds of peacocks screeching their early morning calls then were greeted on our balcony by a very tame peacock who loved the crumbs from our biscuits. We had a four poster bed very comfortable and a large room with balcony. Staff were very helpful and... More

Stayed by myself for one night. I called ahead to say might be late and would the kitchen be open and was told it closed at 9pm but the could knock me up something which was great. I arrived at 8.50pm took my order before I checked it and the chef cooked me a lovely steak with enough chips for... More

Having booked a double room ,on arrival we were upgraded to a 4 poster suite. Helpful receptionist showed us to the room in a modern outbuilding. Slightly surprised to see a peacock on the roof! The room was stifling - windows could perhaps have been left open on the hottest day of the year so far. Next surprise was no... More

All in all we enjoyed our stay however, the room was extremely hot and we had to leave windows open all night as we couldnt turn the heating down. Cobwebs above the bathroom door were massive. Other than that the room was fine. The food was ok and worth the money. The major downside was when we arrived early (1100'ish)... More
