The most enjoyable part of our visit to Le Manoir was exploring the grounds and chatting to the gardeners - they were friendly, willing to answer questions and were clearly passionate about their work. In stark contrast to the waiting staff indoors they were natural, open and friendly. The waiters and waitresses were presumably behaving as they have been trained... More

We made a point to go to Le Manoir for dinner on our most recent trip to Oxford. It is an extraordinarily restored old manor house, where every detail is unobtrusively perfect. The restaurant is renowned, for good reason (albeit quite pricey. After a decadent hour for drinks in the garden, we were invited to move to the dining room... More

This one night stay was a Silver Wedding Anniversary present and what a present it turned out to be. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect, the service is impeccable, the Hydrangea Suite spectacular with its balcony overlooking the lavender walk with glorious views, and of course the food which is just sublime. As the evening was warm we... More

We have just returned from a one night stay, but we feel we have been away for a much longer time. Every thing about this hotel did not disappoint, from the staff to the bedroom (Emily), it was all excellent. The gardens were stunning, a real delight to walk around the vegi garden. A great place to celebrate a special... More

We stayed at Le Manoir last week and it is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. My room was gorgeousl and the attention to detail was impressive. The spa type bathrooms were so elegant and comfortable I actually took some pictures of it. The food at the restaurant is outstanding. The gardens are fairytale like.... More

We were married at Le Manoir and return to celebrate anniversaries. The property and gardens are, of course, beautiful, and the rooms magnificent. The seasonal tasting menu is always memorable, as one would expect. The crowning achievement, though, is the grace, charm, kindness and professionalism of the staff. Every visit is a special occasion and I'm looking forward to the... More

Wonderful from the moment we entered the property. Dinner was fantastic. The tasting menu was brilliant, as was the vegetarian version which was an added bonus. Breakfast ended the trip wonderfully and meeting Raymond himself topped the whole experience off.
