After a long day of travelling and a brain-numbing 3 hour long meeting. I turned up at Soughton Hall, I could not believe how spectacular the building was. It was just turning dusk and the exterior lights were switched on. I actually considered this to be a preferred wedding venue from the 5 minutes I spent walking from the car... More

My husband and I held our wedding reception and evening party at Soughton Hall on Thursday 18th September 2014. Our day was perfect from start to finish. The staff were fantastic, the wedding breakfast was beautiful and the day couldn't have been any better. We were lucky enough with the weather to have our welcome drinks outside, the grounds looked... More

Recently attended a wedding reception at the beautiful Soughton Hall - We were told check in was 3, so when we arrived at 4.30 we were shocked to be told, (after waiting for half an hour in reception for a member of staff to arrive) that there was no staff to check us in as they were too busy with... The most relaxing weekend wondering round the grounds. Eating the most delicious food in The Stables Restaurant. The staff in both the hotel and restaurant were most attentive and very friendly nothing was to much trouble. We enjoyed it so much we are planning to go back in the near future.

Arrived at 12 noon and even though check in was 2.30 the staff were brilliant and offered to take our bags and place them in our room for when we got back as we did not want to wait around. The room was beautiful (we stayed in the Rose room). We had a brilliant nights sleep on very comfortable beds.... More

We had a lovely meal at The Stables Restaurant - the food is always to an excellent standard - only one disappointment for my husband, who enjoys real ale, as there was only one beer on! To add to the atmosphere was the lovely background music played beautifully by a delightful gentleman who then introduced himself and offered to play... More

We stayed here for one night late Sept 14, en route from W. of Ireland to London. Everything was great. Really interesting building, history, furnishings, gardens, etc, + good breakfast, very helpful staff and more than adequate room (but a lot of stairs!). Dined in the Stables - lovely food. George played excellent music throughout our meal, with requests quietly... More

I rated the overall rating as average, taking into account the location is excellent and access and staff levels are poor. We booked the main house on Friday night as we were attending a wedding. Upon arrival we could not find any staff but found the delivery entrance and asked where the disabled parking is. They did not know but... More

Had a lovely evening with my husband at the stables with the dinner bed and breakfast deal we were surprised at the lovely music playing in the background and the musician very politely took our requests - we married here August 2013 and was so lovely to return - thanks to all the staff at the venue for welcoming us... My son and now daughter in law held their wedding here. It was a wonderful day. Everything was perfect. The wedding breakfast was excellent and the evening reception held in the marquee was second to none. The staff were brilliant and we cannot thank them enough for providing such a great service. We stayed overnight, and my wife and i... More
