I booked this as a 10th Wedding Anniversary present for my husband - beautiful building (the long drive up to it says it all really - amazing) and the Butler Suite we stayed in was very grand but we did have a couple of housekeeping issues - floor not hoovered adequately, hair in shower cubicle and the shower plughole was... Nice old country house with lots of character. The service was excellent and the staff could not do enough for you. The food in the Stables restaurant was also excellent although the wines were very expensive we thought. The house is in some ways a bit shabby and poorly decorated. The toilet was dirty and the shower didn't work. We... More

Went to the Only Fools and Horses dinner at Soughton Hall - I've never actually been to the hotel before despite visiting the Stables restaurant next door on many occasions. This was dinner, and entertainment from 'Only Fools and Horses' which sounded great fun - we'd been to something similar, a Murder Mystery at the Beaufort Park hotel so thought... More

My husband booked us a last minute 2 night break at Soughton Hall. What a beautiful house! Lovely log fire welcoming us on arrival, we stayed in the 'School' room and it was great. Everything we needed & so much character! We ate in the Stables restaurant both nights & the food, wine & service was perfect! Chef even made... More

Spent two nights here over Easter. Turning into the long drive is an experience in itself! Dramatic view of this 300 year old Hall in the distance down a long row of old Lime trees. Our room was the Bishop's Suite, seating area with a bureau and pleasant bedroom area with a large comfy bed! Excellent modern bathroom. The Jacuzzi bath... More

I arrived Sunday night to find the hotel locked up and, other than a few lights, in total darkness. Having tried to find a bell and banging on the door, I phoned the hotel where the owner answered and said someone would be down. The owner's husband finally arrived, told me that they didn't open Sunday nights. I explained I... More

The classical drive approach to the elegant hall certainly has a wow factor. The lobby fire was blazing and welcoming, The ambiance and period decor of the hall impressed. The receptionist was professional, friendly and very helpful. After efficiently checking us in, she immediately offered to carry our bags up the three flights of stairs to our room, passing the... We stayed here on Valentines night. We checked in around 4.30pm into the Nursery Room which was a lovely modern room, however when we turned on the lights we noticed a huge stain on the duvet cover. I mentioned this to the Receptionist who promptly apologised and moved us into another room, the Tudor Room which was equally, if not... More
