I stayed at Gellifawr for one night this week whilst away with work. The hotel is remote but in a lovely peaceful location. The room I was allocated was spotlessly clean and well appointed with a lovely comfortable bed. All the staff were friendly and attentive and I had a nice meal in the restaurant in the evening. I left... More

Lovely setting, peaceful countryside setting away from the hustle and bustle, accommodation was spotless. No mobile signal but you can make calls through the wifi and there is also a landline if needed. Nice bar with pleasant staff.

Had a very relaxing stay at Gellifawr. A little out the way, but suited us down to the ground. Staff very friendly and food reasonably priced and plenty of it! Cottages very dog friendly, would definitely go back. Great place to get away from everything, including the phone networks!

We were fortunate to be upgraded to 3-bed cottage. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Loved the beams in the bedrooms! Needed to use lighting in living room in the day as quite dark and it was sometimes a little chilly in the evenings. Unfortunately soap was forgotten and needed to buy our own. Would have liked more than one tea... More

This was the best of both worlds. A lovely well appointed cottage in a picturesque and quiet location, with the added luxury of a hotel on the premises for breakfast and evening meals if you can't be bothered to cook for yourself despite the good kitchen in the cottage. However, there were a few things that would make it perfect... More

Unfortunately, we didn't get to stay here, due to errors by a well-known hotel booking site (we will never use them again). However, the staff here were amazing. They gave me tissues to help stem the flow of tears and helped me speak to the booking company. On this occasion, we had to abandon our stay, but we will not... More

My son booked one of these cottages initially for himself and his wife and her parents. At the last minute due to illness her father wasn't well enough to do the trip so we his parents gladly filled in. The cottage 'Ty Nant' was out of this world. It had every appliance in it and was like being home from... More

A bit tricky to find so a Sat Nav is handy. Once there it's quite a surprise at how beautiful the buildings and gardens are. Our room was up a few stairs and consisted of a lounge/kitchen, bathroom with a decent shower and a good size bedroom with a rally comfy bed. We slept like logs. The kitchen was adequate... More

Booked a two night stay here with the intention of having a mini break with my husband and our dog. Ended up (again) flying solo - apart from the dog, but I still had an absolutely wonderful time. I stayed in one of the self catering cottages, and it was comfortable, clean equipped with everything I needed. After a lovely... More

We enjoyed a two-night summer break at this beautiful country house, which is in the middle of nowhere and I would challenge anyone to find it without satnav! The house and grounds are beautiful and set amidst stunning scenery and our self-catering cottage was spacious and had everything we could ask for, including a four-poster bed! The only complaint about... More
