We stayed at the Dragon for 4 nights over the Easter bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and this continued throughout the weekend by all members of staff who we encountered.

If you are somebody who prefers formulaic modern chain hotels then I would not suggest the Dragon. If you are somebody that prefers an independantly owned hotel with character and a degree of quirkiness then you will love the Dragon.

Walking part of Offa's Dyke we decided to spoil ourselves with a night at the Dragon. Although it is a little way off the National Trail we were not disappointed. The staff and bar were particularly welcoming and the food and comfort of the rooms was excellent.
