Stayed at Caemwgal Farmhouse last night and am missing the beautiful views, farmyard animals and peace and quiet already. Linda is a welcoming warm hostess who looked after us really well. She gave us cakes and refreshments when we arrived and sent us home with very full bellies after the best ever perfectly cooked full breakfast. Hope we get the... More

We were welcomed from our day walking on the nearby Offa's Dyke Path with tea and delicious cake. Our room had lots of character and was well fitted out, although the en-suite bathroom can only be described as "compact". The location is rather out in the sticks, so Linda arranged a lift for us into Montgomery for our evening meal.... More

We stayed at Caemwgal Farmhouse for three nights and were made to feel so welcome. We brought our bikes to go cycling and Linda was able to find us somewhere to store them safely. She also gave us lots of very useful tips and ideas for things to see and places to eat in the area. We stayed in the... More

Stayed here as part of our trip to The Checkers Restaurant and the B&B is a great choice for a quick stay. A very warm welcome with very very good cake and plenty of tea on arrival. Linda was very helpful in sorting a taxi to Montgomery for us and the room we had was very comfy . A great... More

I stayed here for one night when walking Offa's Dyke National trail. It is right on the trail so there is no need for a diversion for accommodation, very welcome after a long day. I arrived soaking wet and Linda gave me a great welcome, taking my wet things to dry and presenting me with welcome tea and cake. The... More

We booked our night at Caemwgal Farmhouse fairly last minute so were only able to get the twin room rather than the double we'd hoped for. But we felt from the email correspondence making the booking that this was going to be an organised and friendly place to stay and we were right. Linda was so welcoming as we pulled... More

Caemwgal Farmhouse is probably unique amongst bed and breakfast establishments, situated as it is right in the middle of a Civil War battlefield; (The Battle of Montgomery 1644 in case you're interested) However, the place is peaceful enough nowadays, and the three hundred and fifty years old farmhouse has retained many of its original features; a homely and timeless environment...
