I forgot to review this visit to Fairy Hill back in October. A few years back I gave the restaurant a big thumbs down. I really glad to say my recent visit was such an improvement. Both service and food were excellent and will happily visit again in the future.

What has happened to Fairyhill? We booked for Christmas dinner there and it was so lacklustre. The welcome was lovely, canapés delicious, but it went downhill from there. We were stuck in a room at the back of the hotel with no view of the delightful grounds and a decor that was straight out of a 1980s nursing home. The... More

'Fairyhill' is a small but delightful country house-style hotel near the beautiful Gower coast in South Wales. It is reached via a very narrow road, something which gives it the feel of a very isolated place. It has 8 bedrooms and extensive grounds. There's a small bar near the entrance and a somewhat larger lounge next to it. There's also... More

This was our third stay over the years and one of the best. This time we had one of the standard rooms, previously we'd stayed in the large rooms, but this for fine for our needs. The service was second to none and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was wonderful. We had... More

This was a first visit to Fairyhill and it didn't disappoint. The welcome from Claire was perfect and the Reception was warm with a lovely fire to welcome you in on such a cold and rainy day. The food was beautiful and the service was excellent.

We travelled to Fairyhill yesterday afternoon and were met by incredibly helpful staff who advised us of an upgrade to our reserved room. The staff were excellent, I particularly enjoyed being able to have an ice bucket delivered for the Champagne that I had cheekily brought with me. We ate in the restaurant and had a fabulous meal served with... More

I recently indulged in wine tasting at Fairyhill with family. My general experience of Fairyhill always seems the same; when booking I tend to deal with somewhat rude staff who have poor customer skills on the phone, but once at Fairyhill it is totally different. When we initially rang to book the wine tasting (which is a very reasonable price... More

Four of us had diinner last night. Food was delicious. Service attentive. Atmosphere is tranquil, understated and very relaxing. Not cheap but I doubt if you,ll get better food or surroundings in Swansea

I'm ashamed to say although I live in Swansea I have never visited this restaurant/hotel. Myself and hubby visited for the wine tasting and lunch. The wine tasting was nice, 13 different wines which you could try and order to either take home or have delivered should you wish to buy. We had a two course set lunch which was... More

We had a three night mid-week break at this lovely hotel with extensive, natural, grounds to walk in. Immediate impression was of calmness, with friendly, efficient and attentive staff without any of the over-attentive fussiness that can come with pricey hotels. Large comfortable room with lovely views over the garden. Outstanding food with maximum use of local produce and some... More
