Wow this place is exactly what I had pictured for our late honeymoon. It was simply stunning from the views to the freshly made jam and pastry for breakfast. Surrounded by fruit trees and vineyards and a sweeping sky filled with stars from our balcony. The host spoke better English than me on most days. She was fascinating, warm and... More

I was delighted to find such a fantastic, comfortable and superbly run idyll to stay at. The accommodation itself was lovely, set in grounds that offer such a beautiful setting. However the 'piece de resistance’ definitely came from meeting the lovely lady running the place. Laurence was such a charming, warm, entertaining, attentive, charismatic host. I would go so far... We a have stayed at Mas de l'Hermitage at least four times of the past 15 years, and we always love to return there. It is our lovely little spot in the south of France. In beautiful surroundings it's the perfect spot to explore Provence from. Situated literally the midst of vineyards and smooth hills it cannot get more genuine... More

If you want a streamlined stay in Provence, do not go to Mas de l'Hermitage in Figanière. If, however, you like to experience real Provence-style with quiet surroundings, lots of outdoor space and a most helpful director/landlady, do not hesitate to go there. My husbond and I have just returned from a week's stay (in appartement Saffran), and we enjoyed... More

We have not long got back from our stay in 'Menthe',a charming twin bed flat with independent access, a small private terrace. Mas de l'Hermitage was exactly what we expected from our holiday in rural Provence, quiet secluded woodland, well within easy driving distance from the coast, the lavender fields and the Perched villages. It gave the impression of having been... More

Overall, we enjoyed our 2 night stay and relaxed in the peaceful setting for most of the day. The pool wasn't used as it's sides and floor were stained, its appearance marked presumably from a previous poor clean. Our breakfast was simple and our second cafetiere less strong. On our arrival we were reluctant at first to preceed along the... More

We rented Santoline, a 3 beds flat with a terrace. The flat is at the front of the house and the terrace faces the car park. People arriving think this is the reception area so there is no privacy. Inside the decor is very dated (you can do Provence style without the original 60's decor and cobwebs) and not very... More

We have stayed here several times over the past few years with our family. The setting with the large grounds and great pool has been excellent for our 3 children. The coast is a short drive if you want the beach but we prefer the hills, especially in the peak summer months. We never fail to meet an interesting variety... More

Great situation the views really are stunning and it's very very tranquil, but the whole place is a just a bit shabby. It could do with a face lift. The host is apparently a great chef (or so he told me) so maybe that is another reason to give it a go.

I just returned from a week at Mas De L'Hermitage and enjoyed every minute. My father and I were there for the anniversary of the liberation of Southern France (WWII) and stayed in Santoline which is a small apartment with a kitchen and patio. Our host was more like a concierge helping us to find a wonderful local restaurant, guiding... More
