Having walked up through noisy Tyndrum and passed by Bridge of Orchy, over the hill and down to the Inveroran Hotel was a delight. It is what it is, slightly out of date but the welcome was good. I arrived at a busy moment for the receptionist but the manager came out of the kitchen and cheerily sped my registration.... More

I have to start by making it clear, Inveroran Hotel is in a very remote place. Very remote. Virtually all the visitors here are long distance walkers. And this watering hole has been here for centuries - Wordsworth stayed here a long time ago. There is no cell reception - call your loved ones before you arrive ! There is... More

Myself and a group of friends stayed in the hotel while cycling the WHW. we stayed here on the second night and the hotel has a great location, with wild life around about. But most importantly the staff and owners make you feel like you are at home, the food and choice is great and after a hard day on... More

We were completely taken aback by the friendly & helpful staff who were ever so kind from the moment we arrived at the hotel. It is a unique, quaint, delightful hotel with everything you need after a long, tiresome walk. A lovely size room with a large comfortable bed, a shower with hot water, a TV, a bar and delicious... Stayed here prior to a hillwalk the following day. Great welcome from the owners, generously portioned good home cooking, both breakfast and dinner, comfy welcoming lounge. Our bedroom was roomy and well proportioned. We'd happily stay here again. An October stay means you can open the window. Don't dare do that in high season! The midges are voracious.

We met our host out walking before our arrival. Although early she insisted that we could go and check in. Our room was large and comfortable with a bath in the en suite, most welcome after a day's walking. We were served tea and cake which we ate outside in the sun enjoying the peaceful setting. The evening meal was... More

We arrived very wet and tired, seemed like an oasis in the desert at first. The rooms were clean but basic, poor hospitality tray, basics in the en-suite, poor shower. The bar is very bare and felt cold, the evening meal was excellent, the breakfast was good but could have done with more choices

This is a small traditional family run place. It's a very old drover's inn on the edge of the huge wilderness of Rannoch Moor with just 8 rooms, dining room, a friendly small bar and a nice old fashioned guest lounge. It's at the very end of a narrow lane beyond the back of beyond, you can go no further... More
