Stayed here prior to a hillwalk the following day. Great welcome from the owners, generously portioned good home cooking, both breakfast and dinner, comfy welcoming lounge. Our bedroom was roomy and well proportioned. We'd happily stay here again. An October stay means you can open the window. Don't dare do that in high season! The midges are voracious.

We met our host out walking before our arrival. Although early she insisted that we could go and check in. Our room was large and comfortable with a bath in the en suite, most welcome after a day's walking. We were served tea and cake which we ate outside in the sun enjoying the peaceful setting. The evening meal was... More

We arrived very wet and tired, seemed like an oasis in the desert at first. The rooms were clean but basic, poor hospitality tray, basics in the en-suite, poor shower. The bar is very bare and felt cold, the evening meal was excellent, the breakfast was good but could have done with more choices

This is a small traditional family run place. It's a very old drover's inn on the edge of the huge wilderness of Rannoch Moor with just 8 rooms, dining room, a friendly small bar and a nice old fashioned guest lounge. It's at the very end of a narrow lane beyond the back of beyond, you can go no further... More

This is a lovely small hotel 3 miles from the nearest small village (Bridge of Orchy). The surroundings are lovely; however be prepared for the midges. Upon check in you are given a menu and asked to pre-book your dinner & time slot. There are 3 choices for each course (including a veggie option). My partner and I had a... More

I stayed one night while walking the WHW. It's in a splendid location and on the way to the Hotel there is a cairn with awesome views. I slept in room #4. It was clean and spacious, with usual tea stuff, tv etc. I had a nice sleep but due to a sunny day the room was a little bit... More

We stayed for one night whilst walking the WHW. We had just enjoyed our easiest days walk from Tyndrum and had just covered the three miles between the Bridge of Orchy and Inveroran in fine weather. This for me is the most stunning 3 miles of the whole walk. The hotel is in a glorious location on the edge of... More

Stayed here one night while walking the West Highland Way. It's right on the WHW, you can see it as you come down over the hill from Bridge of Orchy, so it's very convenient. The bugs were pretty bad the afternoon we arrived, so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor area and the great views. The hotel is old, quirky,... More

We stayed at this hotel in August whilst walking the West Highland Way. It is situated on its own, on the edge of a beautiful loch, on a tiny road, in the middle of nowhere. The setting is just beautiful - we were able to sit outside in the afternoon sun, with a beer, watching the birds hopping around our... More

This hotel is ideally placed on the WHW, located just next to the Loch Tulla, and the views when reaching the hotel through the moutain are stunning. The place is infested (outside) by midges during summer, but it's not strange given the location. The staff is ok, although not totally friendly, and the food is pretty nice. The lobby of... More
