This hotel/inn was the nicest that we experienced on our 8-day trek along the West Highland Way. The food in the restaurant was far superior to the pub food we experienced at our other stops. The rooms were spotless and attractive. The hotel's sitting room is expansive and the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and visit... more

Stayed in the Bunk House, short beds and noisy building not ideal after a 20 mile walk and wanting a decent nights sleep. Would not suggest to anyone to stay here. Hotel is very expensive to stay in, food good but pricey and breakfast, "continental" they don't know they meaning of the word. Overall quite disappointing is comparison to other... more

Hubby and I spent 2 nights here (hotel not bunkhouse) as part of an anniversary jaunt as we were skiing at Glencoe but could not find accommodation much nearer and fancied a bit of luxury (we booked on the day before we travelled). Hotel is easy to find and has fantastic views and as we arrived early reception stored our... more

I stayed in the bunkhouse for 1 night with 2 friends. All was well until I discovered the hotel had charged my credit card twice for 1 night. When I called them, they said that they had decided to charge me for the following night as the room was 'unusable' despite the manager inspecting it personally. They failed to notify... more

Ticked all the boxes, comfortable room, good location for WHW, room was spacious enough and clean, but for me I felt it lacked anything extra. Suited my needs at the time, but wouldn't be in any rush to return. Also discovered afterwards that the packed meals were more expensiveif ordered via the hotel rather than the bunkhouse. Next time, I'd... more

One of the many historic drover inns in the West Highlands, this hotel is now in fantastic condition, with modern and well appointed rooms, attentive service, and excellent food, wines and beers. The lounge, for guests, is large, elegant and peaceful, in contrast to the bustling bar and restaurant. Our only criticism was that we weren’t warned of a band... more

My wife and I stayed here in May whilst doing the West Highland Way. We stayed in the bunkhouses. This is the first time we have stayed in this type of accommodation so we didn't know what to expect! However I must say I was quite pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very basic as you would expect but they were... more

My husband and I stayed at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel for 3 nights in February this year, after discovering it on the internet. The website was very informative and the hotel seemed like the perfect location for a romantic break. We were certainly not disappointed and, in fact, our stay was even better than we thought it would be!... more

This is the only hotel I have ever been locked into overnight. I like walking long routes and was attracted by the website advertising the local spectacular mountains. I was up at 6 and raring to go. I couldn't. This place puts on an alarm which means residents can't open the door until a member of staff turns up in... more
