i have to admit,it was a while ago when i stayed here, and i think it has changed hands since then.it is basicly a bunk house with shared facilities. when i stayed they had a room with 9 beds and one with six, with no demarcation between men and women.only the toilet and showers were seperate.they had stopped doing meals and breakfast... Stayed here whilst walking the WHW over 5 days. The bunk room was clean and met our needs on such a tiring week. The location is outstanding, perfect and mesmerising. But the real quality which made this location the most memorable was the owners Steve and Helen, they went out of their way to make us welcome and feel at... More

Incredibly quirky and different but a fantastic. A little grubby but absolutely fine stay. Fantastic and friendly owners. What really struck me was the way they saw us as guests rather than customers, we had some really great chats!! Possibly a little pricy but certainly worth it!! Would certainly recommend!

Stayed here with some friends overnight during our trip on the wear highland way. The place is original but doesn't meet any standard. The rooms aren't cleaner and there is a shortage of fresh air in the room! You are being charged 7 pounds for sheets which is unreasonable. The owner is a friendly man and welcoming. I do not... Stayed here with my partner on the 23rd June whilst walking the West Highland Way. Friendly welcoming owners. As expected, very quirky, good value and 'different'. Comfortable bunks - three high X 3. Bathrooms OK. Didn't take the evening meal (Bridge of Orchy Hotel instead - just down the road 5 mins), but breakfast was fine. BYO and earplugs -... More

A group of us were hiking the West Highland Way and we stayed here on Easter Saturday. We enjoyed some lovely food in the evening. It would be very convenient for the train, if we didn't have to get to Fort William.

a group of us were meant to stay here but were not told until we turned up that we could not stay because they had no water. after talking to locals they said the place is open and shut all the time. we booked back in November to stay in April 2014 and trying to get a hold of the... More

I was a bit apprehensive booking here given the previous reviews, the fact it was closed in 2013 and that the website was basic to say the least. But it was fine! The 9 dorm with 3 triple bunks wasn't ideal, which is why I'd give it 3.5 rather than 4, but it was clean, Steve was welcoming enough (he... More

This place is now closed, some problem with the water supply. Interior very dirty and full of old food , rubbish , old bedding etc, there is a notice advising customers to contact Steve to get any deposits back. Even when it was open it was never the most inviting place despite being in an attractive old railway station with... More
