After reading reviews I was prepared for the worst but the owners were perfectly nice, the place was clean (minus the kitchen that we didn't use) and everything went smoothly. Cheap and cheerful. Very nice views and the train coming in is very cool.

We often frequent hostels and given the standard that both the YHA and SYHA set, as an independent hostel this was pretty shocking. In terms of history and location this place has a lot of potential, but this place is fundamentally let down by 2 things: 1. Cleanliness: Looking through the window into the kitchen (which we never used) and... More

After we have read a lot of good and bad reviews about this place, we decided to take the risk and book. There was not much of an alternative in the area. We arrived half an hour too early and one of the owners took us in for a cup of tea. They were very friendly to us and helped... More

My boyfriend and I spent a night at the bunkhouse and it was absolutely horrible! We came there rather early (before 5 pm), nobody was there but the common room wasn't locked, so we took a seat there and waited for the host. First of all, it was absolutely dirty and disgusting, and when the hosts wife came we said... More

What a total disappointment this place is and it lets down the whole of The Bridge of Orchy. Dirty, unfriendly, smelly and unwelcoming. The shame is that there is very little choice in the area so people are forced to stay there when walking the Way. The owners should give it up and let someone else have a go at... More

This place should be shut down, it is absolutely filthy. We were greeted by the rudest man i have ever met. We were left sitting outside while his wife brought our sheets. We were then shown into the dining room which was a smelly, cluttered mess. Eventually we were shown to our room where our vile host insulted our nationalities and... More

myself and 3 hiking friends stayed here, we enjoyed our night in the unusual spot ! It was all you needed after a hard days walking. Yes a little cramped, but didn't bother us at all. The owners were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, and the food was spot on. Thanks

Well, our stay here was certainly a unique experience, in the sense that the owners Steve & Helen don't give a stuff about the comfort & welfare of their guests. It could be a charming place to stay with the unusual setting of a railway station but these two oddballs clearly have no interest in making it welcoming or clean.... More

Stayed in this place last week as part of the West Highland Way. After a day of walking 20 miles and exhausted we arrived at Bridge of Orchy and were booked in to the Bridge of Orchy Sleeper. First problem was finding it. We walked past it as signs for it are few and far between and asked a local... More
