The hotel closed in September 2014. Looks as though it has been sold and is undergong refurbishment currently. Hopefully with new owners and a make over it will open transformed, addressing the issues other reviewers have highlighted. The hotel is in a spectacular position and conveniently located for Loch Linnhe, Fort William and Glencoe so well worth the investment.

Arrived beginning of August for 2 night stay. Staff provided us with great service, and were very friendly. Rooms, in need of updating. Says you get wifi, although I was only able to get it from the reception/bar area. Not being drinkers, we were not in that area and could not receive wifi up in our room. The View was... More

As we were taking Australian visitors to the Highlands for their first time, this establishment was an embarrassment. We occupied Rooms 12 and 14, described as “superior”. Our room (14) was dusty and had not been vacuumed. There was no valance on the bed and the towels were frayed. Room 12, for the same price, was considerably larger, but had... More

Having arrived in a very busy Fort William, and after phoning around 10 other hotels as far as Lochleven around 4pm, I was glad Allt-nan-ros had the last room available. Sold to me as the last room available, deluxe, at £120.00 per night, I took it! Perhaps the warning should have been a very gregarious gentleman, complaining rather vocally in... More

Had a great nights stay.received a warm welcome, and good service.my only moan is the food.if the kitchen can improve the steak pie, mash and veg( very poor!!),and the quality of the products for the cooked breakfast it would be a winner.and these are surley dishes that kitchens in this part of the world should be able to do well

It's very hard to beat the incredible location of this friendly, small hotel on the edge of Loch Linnhe. We woke to spectacular views of mist rising from the Loch into the early morning sunlight. It was truly breathtaking, and the large windows in the bedroom, lounge and restaurant mean you can stay warm and dry while enjoying the tranquil... More

I stayed at this hotel in May 2013 and I was very very disappointed, from the moment we arrived I felt I was in the way and not welcome, I was dumped in the annex separated from my other family members because I had a small dog with me, even though I had prior to the stay asked if I... More

I was very pleasantly suprised by this hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful. whilst some of the rooms were perhaps needing some redecoration, they were by no means dirty. We had the most amazing weekend and the staff even put food on for us that wasnt on the menu as we had seen it on a previous... More

Great views, lovely food. Service could be faster but perhaps we arrived on a busy weekend. Room I was in had a lovely view of the lake and mountains across the room. Adequate heating for that time of the year. Bathroom was clean and shower worked perfectly. I would definitely go back.

On arrival guests for a weekend conference were checking in, it was quite a while before Ian the Team Leader checked us in and we were told that we could only use the dining room for breakfast and that fingers crossed we maybe able to use the bar that evening, if we wanted an evening meal he was happy to...
