Our second stay at this lovely hotel on the banks of Loch Linnhe. Fantastic setting, good food, friendly staff, brilliant views, what more can you ask for. Even the power cut that affected over 200,000 homes in the north west of Scotland didn't stop the chef serving up a lovely meal which we eat by candle light. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for one night and if we had booked longer we would have moved out. The bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. The bathroom had black mould in the walls, dinner was inedible and breakfast was lukewarm eggs served on a cold plate. The location is superb but a tent on the loch side would be better

The fabric of the Hotel is old and shabby; here are there it is downright unclean. For example- the bedroom; paint is old and flaking, surfaces marked and faded. Don't look under the bed! One power-socket was loose but not dangerously so, in the bathroom the bath-plug had become detached from its chain, the sink was slightly greasy as was... More

The hotel is easily accessed and provides a superb base for exploring the Fort William/Glencoe area - some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland is here. Fantastic for walkers, skiers and general wandering..... We stayed for four nights and our stay was perfect. The hotel is family run and it might do with a little lick of paint here... More

This hotel could be incredible, beautiful surroundings and good access to some of Scotlands best tourist attractions. Throw a bit of money at it and i am sure they will see the benefits. In particular the bar is a good area and could be a great draw for tourist groups and weekenders.

Everything about our two night stay was perfect. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The food at dinner both nights and breakfast both mornings was delicious and excellent portions. Lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, very quiet, stunning location and very spacious rooms.

A warm, welcoming hotel with character that is well located and easily accessible. The rooms are spacious and fairly well decorated, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was okay - albeit not overly modern. The bath however was a plus - unlike most hotels, the bath was large enough to lay back and relax. A downside here was the tea/coffee/biscuit tray.... More

Having experienced a night at the Ballachulish Hotel just down the road my hopes were not high for the Onich, how wrong! Clean, fresh, pleasant, wonderful food and atmosphere. We had a great view, through the mist and rain! It is basic but clean with a lot of friendly staff.

We spent a weekend at this lovely, friendly hotel right on the loch. Room 11 has wonderful view of the water. Staff cannot do enough for you. Breakfast wonderful! All in all very good value for money.
