We got a deal on this hotel and booked the junior suite {attic conversion} the best thing was the large bathroom and roll top bath. Loved that, but wouldn't pay full price for the suite. Lumpy bed, We had an enjoyable stay though, good breakfast, friendly, professional staff and very helpful.

I booked this hotel on the evening of the 28th at 5.15pm approx, at 11pm I cancelled the booking. On booking.com page there is no actual mention of any cancellation costs when going through the booking procedure. 24.5 hours later I receive an email from booking.com saying my reservation had been cancelled.. I also got another email to say my... More

My wife and I stayed at the Lodge on the Loch on 2nd January 2016 as we wanted a short break in the Highlands before going back to work. We'd previously stayed around 15 years ago and enjoyed the experience back then - I think the hotel had been refurbished just prior to us staying the first time. I don't... More

Stayed here on a 2 night special offer from Itison but like others we were told we 'had' to upgrade so therefore we did at an extra £20 per night so we were shown to our room which was small, cobwebs hanging above the bed, no headboard, not looking forward to leaning against wood panneling. We met up with a... More

My wife and I booked three nights B&B from 20th October at this hotel at a cost of £194 per night having been very impressed by the hotel's website. Unfortunately the hotel bears no resemblance to the photographs on their site. On arrival the reception area was cold, deserted and smelled damp. We were shown to our room by the... More

Pro`s - Large room , Big Bed , Good breakfast and evening meals , excellent view of the loch , nice sitting room with log fire Con`s - looking tired carpets and décor needs addressing. We had a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom but no chain on the plug so we were given a screwdriver to get the plug out... More

We stayed at the lodge on the loch 30th October 2015, we booked it via itison for £49 for B&B, when we called to make our reservation we were told non of the standard rooms were available, so we had to upgrade to a club room for an additional £20. When we arrived we were disappointed with the hotel, it... More

****I don't usually complain*** Paid £250 for a 2 night stay, for a gorgeous king room with beautiful free standing bath. Travelled 6 hours to get there to receive, standard room with old traditional bath that most people have at home. On complaining 1st time were told, 'But you have a bath' 2nd complaint to manager, Leon resulted in him... More

We had a two day break with an Itison voucher. The room we were first shown was fine but a bit small so we up graded to a Club room which was larger with lovely views of the loch. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and it was reasonably priced. Would... More

We stayed 2 nights here and were welcomed and looked after by Zsolt and his collegues. The hotel was a wee bit tired and could do with a update. We had a room with a view of the loch which was lovely. We ate in the resturant and the food was very good, again Zsolt and his staff were very... More
